Hi Everyone, 

It's been a little while since we've shared a writing update for *Curse of the Fallen Fairy*, and I wanted to let you know that Belle's story is very much alive.

Belle's journey continues to surprise us. Scenes reveal new layers, Crow becomes ever more delightfully inhuman, and the world of the Concordance keeps unfolding in ways we never expected when we first outlined the story.

Life has finally given both of us the opportunity to spend consistent time back in the manuscript. After the health challenges and unexpected turns life threw our way, we're incredibly grateful for your patience. Returning to this story has been a joy. We've been revising chapters, strengthening character moments, and uncovering little details that make the story feel even richer than it did in the first draft. 

While it has taken longer than either of us expected, every return to the manuscript reminds us why we've refused to rush this story.

One of my favorite things about writing is that inspiration rarely arrives when you expect it.

The other day I was listening to Edwin McCain's *I'll Be* and it sparked a thought that refused to leave me alone. 

It wasn't a particular lyric that stayed with me. It was the realization that effort alone never guarantees an outcome. We can pour our hearts into something, nurture it, fight for it, and still not know whether it will flourish until much later.

That idea found its way into the story as a new epigraph:

Some of my favorite moments in writing happen like this. A conversation. A song. A quiet thought that suddenly belongs to the characters instead of to me.

Thank you for continuing this journey with us and for believing in Curse of the Fallen Fairy. Every encouraging message, every comment, and every bit of patience gives us the freedom to make this story everything it deserves to be. We can't wait to share more with you as Belle's journey continues.
