PROSPERO'S DREAM is the new campaign setting for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG. It expands and augments the content in the award-winning module, A Pound of Flesh. The boxed set contains three zines, warden's tools, and so much more.
This year’s Mothership Month celebrates Prospero’s Dream, the infamous space station and perfect launch pad for your Mothership campaign. To bring it all together, we’ve built the Prospero’s Dream Campaign Boxed Set, your complete toolkit for running an ongoing campaign centered on the Dream itself. This is the definitive way to explore Prospero’s Dream, Mothership’s most iconic setting, and to connect the dozens of adventures set within its orbit.
Most of our fans already have a copy of the award-winning module, A Pound of Flesh, but if you don't (or if you're a collector) we're releasing an exclusive variant cover for Mothership Month this year. This will have new art (the above is a work-in-progress) and a magenta foil cover. Add it to your pledge in the Add-ons section!
Inside the Prospero's Dream Boxed Set you’ll find:
🥩 Mouths to Feed. A brand new adventure set on the Dream, Mouths to Feed provides a rapidly devolving situation as the station's butchers from the slaughterfactory go missing, and a killer roams the corridors, all while the Solarian monks herald the coming of a new messiah.
🧠 God Complex. The stand-alone epilogue to A Pound of Flesh, God Complex details an expedition into a nightmarish dreamworld, the memory-demons that inhabit it, a Solarian monastery holding the body of a pseudogod, and the monks dreaming to control of the monster called Caliban.
📓 Living the Dream. Zine-sized Warden's notebook and map for tracking locations and linking together other Dream-based modules from across the Mothership community. Think of it as a mini-Warden's Operations Manual for running a full fledged campaign on the dream.
🧪 House Call. An introductory one-shot pamphlet adventure where the crew is hired to bring an infected person in for treatment (dead or alive).
♟️ 15+ New cardstock pawns.
🗺️ A two-sided poster map of the Dream on one-side and its transit system(s) on the other
🎲 A set of percentile dice, and a new magenta (!) Panic Die.
There are two versions of Prospero's Dream: the Standard and the Deluxe. Both contain everything you need to run a campaign on Prospero's Dream. The Standard Version is in Slickware Magenta, while the Deluxe Version is in Mothership Foil Gold (just like the Mothership Deluxe Set). Both are the same size as the Mothership Core Set.
Mouths to Feed is a new mystery scenario and adventure module for Mothership RPG. It expands and augments the content in the award-winning module, A Pound of Flesh. The book details a dense urban company tower built atop an immense slaughterfactory and its denizens. It's an intimate portrait of a community shaken by factory farming, faith, and a spiraling famine. It can be played before, during, or after the events of A Pound of Flesh. It includes:
The San Cade habitation block detailed in 10 locations. From waterless slums, to 24-hour markets to an immense below-deck abattoir.
An evolving murder mystery and hellish crawl through a bloody slaughterfactory.
100+ NPCs, each with their own troubles and lives.
A map of the Prospero Metro.
A dense web of relationships between the power-players and the local residents.
A toolset for generating social scenarios.
A deep look at the Solarian Church and their paramilitary monastic order, the Nightwatchmen.
Work in progress spread for God Complex
God Complex details the memory-palace of the slumbering entity known as Caliban: a twisted hospital, haunted by his guilt. The entrance to this dreamworld is hidden within a Solarian Monastery deep in rimspace. The monks all have a different design upon Caliban, but the crew will make the final decision: can this monster be redeemed?
Note: God Complex is a stand-alone epilogue to the events of A Pound of Flesh, and does not require A Pound of Flesh to play.
Living the Dream is your very own Warden's Notebook for campaigns set on the Dream. Part toolkit, part Warden's Operations Manual, part notebook -- Living the Dream provides you with all the tools you'll need to run a campaign on the Dream. It includes helpful advice on running the campaign, generating missions, as well as a map with gridded space to insert your own adventures (or others you've purchased from Mothership Month!). Living the Dream helps you tie all these disparate elements together into a complete setting.
MEGADAMAGE is the annual Mothership megazine. Inside we have short fiction, articles, interviews, comics, and so much more in an oversized (11x12.4") deluxe magazine format.
Partisan: A brand new comic from Adam Szym, the ignatz-nominated creator of Little Visitor & Other Abductions.
A new short story by Brian Evenson, author of A Collapse of Horses and multiple Shirley Jackson award nominee. Brian's work was one of the main inspirations for Mothership, the fact that we're getting to work with him is a dream come true.
The best science fiction world building that came out last year wasn't a film or a book, it was an art show. An interview with Alex Degen on his haunting, disturbing work Value Palace by the incredible, Sean McTiernan (Live at the Death Factory, SF-Ultra).
A brand new comic from the incomprable Marie Enger (Death to the Wizard Kings, Casketland).
A new short piece by transgressive/gothic/erotic author Astrid Anne Rose (BOMB Magazine, in The New Lesbian Pulp).
Lunar Greenhouse, a psionic awakening by the incredible cartoonist, Jake Butcher.
A brand new comic from Lukasz Kowalczuk (To Hell and Galenback).
This year, we're trying something different. Nearly every Mothership Month project is part of a shared shipping initiative. That means:
One pledge manager. When Mothership Month ends, you’ll receive one combined pledge manager survey for all participating projects — our “mega pledge manager.” That means just one survey and one shipping payment for multiple projects.
One shipping charge. Because these projects will ship together, you’ll only pay shipping once, saving you money.
One fulfillment timeline. All participating campaigns are scheduled to ship at the same time, ensuring your rewards arrive together.
Two exceptions. Only two creators (Bombs Bursting in Air and Roach Motel) have opted out of this group fulfillment plan; their shipping will be handled separately. Why did they opt out? These two projects are very close to being ready to fulfill, and it didn't make sense to their teams to wait.
When will these projects ship? Our collective goal is to have all Mothership Month 2025 projects fulfilled before Mothership Month 2026 begins. Some projects are further along than others, so their timeline for digital rewards will vary. But we have roughly a year to fulfill before Mothership Month 2026, which gives everyone enough time to finish up and get their products to our warehouse.
What is Mothership Month?
Every year, Tuesday Knight Games and dozens of third-party creators launch new Mothership projects around a shared theme. This year’s theme (“The Dream Returns”) centers on Prospero’s Dream, the infamous X-Class back-world, black market space station. Each project ties back to the Dream in some way. Not only that, but we'll be opening up Prospero's Dream as a shared setting for all third-party creators going forward.

This year we're changing up the Supply Pods. Now there is just ONE BIG SUPPLY POD. It's unlocked once all projects fund and it improves as we hit more group achievements. How do you get the Supply Pod? Back 5 or more projects at the physical level and get access to all the cool goodies.

Estimated Shipping
Below is a table of estimated shipping prices based on weight. You can see at the bottom what the estimated weights are for different items. Prospero's Dream should be around the same weight (maybe slightly lighter) than the Mothership Core Set. Additionally, if you order several items you'll incur a small charge for additional items, which varies based on your country.
This does not include any applicable VAT or taxes. A reminder that these shipping prices are an estimate and its possible they will change based on global conditions beyond our control.
