Werehouse Fabric
Buying faux fur in the UK is a struggle.
Most of us end up importing from overseas, paying huge shipping costs, waiting weeks for delivery, and paying surprise import fees that can vary depending on how customs feels that day. Then, we must cross our fingers that the fur we get is actually the same colour and quality as last time. Sometimes it is. It often is not.
Werehouse Fabric exists because we're tired of that.
We're a UK-based, furry-run fabric supplier focused on making premium high-quality faux fur with actual consistency. That means working closely with our manufacturers, keeping strict quality standards, checking colours between production runs, and making sure what arrives is something we'd actually want to use ourselves.
Our goal isn't to be the biggest supplier overnight. We want to start with smaller range that we know we can stand behind, only expanding once we have the staff and resources to make it Perfect.
From day one, we're developing our own custom faux fur with carefully selected colours. Every decision is being made with fursuit makers and artists in mind—from fibre quality and pile density to colour consistency and manufacturing standards.
Being based in the UK also means no more importing every order from the US, where purchasing 1 yard of fur from can cost upwards of £75 (before VAT and import fees). We want creators across the UK and Europe to have a supplier that's local, reliable, and understands the community it's serving.

ThickFox Faux Fur
If you have ever used 'luxury shag' faux furs, you know the problems. Uneven density resulting in uneven shaving and even bald spots. Extreme heat sensitivity, shedding, slow-drying, and white-coloured backing that announces itself. All fibres are cut at the exact same length, making its use in realistic suits near impossible. If you have ever owned a fursuit for a few years, you will notice that age and wear makes the fur become brittle, coarse, fuzz, and pill.
We are looking to start Werehouse Fabrics with a 'fox' faux fur that can be used in its place, addressing all of these problems and more.
The goal is to work with manufacturers to produce a high-GSM faux fur line using superior materials in at least 30 colours, both natural and colourful. With stretch goals, more support = more colours, keeping our goal attainable, but always including at least 3 greys !

Why BackerKit?
Manufacturing custom faux fur isn't cheap. Factories require large minimum orders, colour development takes time, and maintaining proper quality control means investing in the process before the first piece is ever sold.
Your support helps us place those first production orders, build stock in the UK, and lay the foundations for a supplier that people can rely on for years to come. The more support we receive, the better we can become.
Running a BackerKit campaign lets us know what colours you would like, with community polls and pre-orders.
To thank you for your help, we will offer special discounts and privileges to all of our BackerKit backers, including but not limited to early-bird discounts on yardage and swatch kits.
This is a campaign to create the fabric supplier we've wanted for years.
Thank you for helping us make it happen.
