October 18 Update
Hello All, I know this campaign is late. I wanted to make an update about something that effects the game in a significant manner that in the end has to be addressed.
First me and Pauli are working together on this game to ensure this game is the best it can be. There are those out there spreading rumors to the contrary and this is not true.
Secondly, Pauli just got done having major surgery and we have let her have time to have her surgery, and more importantly time to begin her long healing process. We in fact are setting up a video meeting this week to talk this and other projects.
Now onto the issue, when we last posted screen shots we received several messages about what were glaring editing issues. This project had an editor, we paid the editor and his work obviously not to the level that we thought it was. I am not an editor, however as of last week the book has went to a new editor, and she is getting it done.
So to put this in perspective, it is delayed. However figures are done, disc bags are done, maps are done, the layout is done. But the original editors work was sub par. So we are having her walk through it, perform the edits, then I will walk through the layout and ensure everything is formatted / reformatted okay and it will go to print.
We want this right, and I personally apologize for these delays.

Sneak Peak Art and layout done
Hello Everyone. We wanted to share the record sheet and a couple of pages of this really cool game. We apologize for these delays, however as we talked art has been a major issue as we moved to another person. Along with that getting the shipping for production worked out etc.
So without further waiting below are some sneak peaks, along with pics of the dice bags etc, which all were hand made, we plan to have this DONE AND BEGIN SHIPPING in the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone for the patience. So Stars & Sails will be docking very soon.....

06-05-26 Update
We wanted to address the delays in this game.
There have been delays due to health issues that we are not going into here out of privacy concerns. However the core rule book is scheduled for wrap up. We also have had some art issues, actually a lot of art issues with two artist using AI, and since we promised no AI, we began with a third artist who's art is spectacular.
So, the game is not in anyway abandoned or not happening, we are targeting July for this being done and back from print. Sorry for the delays, and we promise to give more regular updates.

12-23 Update
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to give an update, myself and Pauli were expecting this project to be finalized as we had all the artwork and got into final layout. However, there were major unexpected issues with several pieces of the artwork that were critical to the game, and we had to have the artist redo some of it. However we did get the corrected art, and yesterday me and Pauli had a video call where we went over it and everything is now okay and sorted and approved.
We are now in final layout, Pauli is going to Vietnam on Holiday and we have plans when she gets back to go over the layout for her final approval and so printing can commence. Me and Pauli are excited to finally get this to you, and books should be shipping in January as art was the hold up.

Update for printing
Hello everyone, first thank you for your patience in this awesome game. As we mentioned in the update prior to this one, we have been waiting on artwork, and although the artwork came much later than we were promised, this issue is solved as we have now all of the art for the game.
Since the game has been edited, and all we have been waiting on is art, we are not in layout. This means the game will head to Pauli for her approval in the coming 3 weeks or so, and once she looks it over and approves it we will get it into print and binding.
We plan to later this week begin some fun updates, where we show you screen shots of pages of the game, so you can see how this awesome art is pairing with Pauli's awesome game. Pauli's creativity is legendary and it shows in this game. She really knocked this out of the ballpark.
Again thank you sincerely from all of us at Wizard Tower Games, without passionate gamers like all of you there would be nothing. YOU are what makes the gaming business possible.

If the text is done and you're just waiting on artistic types to make beautiful illustrations, why not put out a work in progress PDF? Lots of far bigger RPG publishers do this, sometimes through DTRPG which helps wonderfully with updates. You also can get the benefit of many eyes helping (for free) to find and fix inconsistencies and nonsense typos. BTW — an update a month makes your backers feel better, even if there's not a lot to tell. Folks get twitchy when you leave them in the dark.
