As a new backer and someone not familiar with the company(ies) behind the failed campaign(s). I thought Devil Pig and the Pig from Hell were the same thing and managed/run by the game designers so I've been a bit confused on the controversy. Any chance someone could provide a high level overview of situation? I'd feel a bit more comfortable risking my money if I clearly understood what happened and who's involved/not involved. Thanks!
No, Devil Pigs are the designers, 'Pig from Hell' was created by a gentleman who has a number of other companies. He ran at least 2 "heroes" campaigns, with HotP on KS and GF being the last. He then shut down PfH and liquidated it leaving the designers (Devil Pigs) and all backers of HotP empty handed.

The a$$hat that "ran" the company also shut down the website which had countless fan-made and official files.
He also attempted to steal from online customers. I placed an order on their website and they didn't ship it or respond to refund requests.
Word Forge Games is the exact opposite. They produce great quality games and have earned my repeat backing (D-Day Dice, SAS:Rogue Regiment)
