Project Update: Important Information for All WorldSwappers
Hello WorldSwappers,
We are only a few short weeks away from Dragonsteel Nexus 2025, and we want to make sure everyone has the information they need before arriving in Salt Lake. This update includes a full summary of recent announcements, along with one very important request: please join the Discord if you have not already. Almost all real-time communication during the convention will take place there, including meetups, schedule confirmations, and last-minute updates. We will not be posting to BackerKit during the event, so the Discord server is the best way to stay informed. You can join at: https://discord.gg/h4jhVQu2. Once inside, please check the “Customize” channel so you receive the correct role for swap-related announcements.

Our primary WorldSwappers pick-up time and location is now set. BackerKit fulfillment will take place on Wednesday, December 3, from 7:00–10:00 pm in the Brighton Meeting Room on the third floor of the Hyatt Regency (the hotel attached to the Salt Palace). This will be the main window to collect all Backerkit WorldSwappers items. Please plan to attend that evening. Dragon Woodshop will also be distributing Doug Hunt badges in the same room during our Wednesday evening pick-up window. If you need one, please plan to arrive early, as Carly will only be available until 8:30 pm. More information and purchasing opportunity at https://dragonwoodshop.com/products/great-annual-doug-hunt-2025-edition?srsltid=AfmBOoo8hOnehwY2KNYTFhYAqKacbChnD5U-mlM4hcK8J-c6_vtILnB7 In the same space earlier that day, TessElation will be hosting several community activities, including a board game block, and the Storydeck Card Swap. Brighton and the nearby Solitude room will also be used for a Victorian-themed murder mystery event run by TessElation; tickets for those sessions are extremely limited and must be purchased in advance at https://tesselationpatterns.com/fantasy/
We also want to highlight the release of the official WorldSwappers swag tracker, created by Bryan. This tool allows you to list your swap items, add photos, tag them, note any trade requirements, and organize the traders you hope to meet. You can also mark people off your list once you have completed a trade. The tracker uses your Discord username, so we recommend ensuring your Discord profile clearly reflects the name other traders will recognize. The app does not host images directly, so please read the instructions on the form before submitting your pictures. The tracker is available at https://worldswappers.com.
In addition, a community giveaway is currently running on the Discord server for several 3D printed Cosmere art pieces. Participants may enter by reacting to the post in the announcements channel. Winners will be selected at random, and the pieces must be picked up in person at DSNX. Full details are posted in the server, and the giveaway closes on November 24 at 11:00 am Mountain Time.
We would also like to acknowledge several of our sponsors and contributors. Dragon Woodshop creates custom displays for collectors and will be present at booth A-24, offering services such as the Doug Hunt scavenger game. TessElation produces customizable wall displays, double-sided coin holders, radiant order flowers, and shadowbox art, will be present at booth C-43, and is hosting two meeting rooms on December 3rd for community activities and immersive events. Z. Smith Pottery sponsored the hand made ceramic WorldSwapper challenge coins included in the backer rewards and will be trading handmade pottery pieces around the convention. The Sanderlanche Podcast, a read-along show following new readers through the Cosmere, can also be found at the convention.
If you are an exhibitor and would like to make it clear that you are open to swaps at your booth, a printable sign is available in the Discord server.
More detailed information—including meetup plans for Thursday through Saturday, reminders for fulfillment night, and final preparation notes—will be shared soon. Again, the Discord server is the central place to receive up-to-date information during the convention itself, so we strongly encourage everyone to join ahead of time.
We look forward to seeing you all in December and are excited to celebrate the creativity and community that make WorldSwappers such a special project for so many people.
