Welcome to the Virtual Pawz project!

Virtual pet games, both CD-ROM and Browser-Based, were synonymous with the early 2000's. If you had access to a beige, bulky desktop computer back in the day, you probably enjoyed taking care of virtual animals or building your own zoos at one point or another.

Virtual pet & animal SIM games were a massive inspiration for me as a kid. I often poured all of my creativity and hundreds of hours into building zoos, caring for virtual pets, and designing web pages to showcase them to the community.

With this project, I wanted to pay a proper homage to some of my favorite games by co-mingling my current style with the nostalgic elements that captured the heart and mind of my childhood self.

In the coming months I'll be sharing updates and taking polls, so stay tuned!

My name is Zandra, and I'm a full-time freelance illustrator and graphic designer with 10+ years of experience.

I'm a big fan in general of stylized design and being able to merge my graphic design experience with my illustrations and products. Innovating on items that already exist with fun twists, unique ideas, and interesting executions with my own ideas is something I take a lot of pride in!
