HEROIC is a tabletop role-playing game (RPG) inspired by the classic MSH RPG by TSR. It allows players to create their own superheroes and embark on epic adventures in a world of their making. HEROIC aims to capture the spirit of comic book storytelling with fast-paced, dynamic gameplay.

While HEROIC draws inspiration from the original MSH game, it features updated mechanics, a more flexible character creation system, and modernized graphics and art design. Our goal is to pay homage to the classic while ensuring the game mechanics and aesthetics resonate with both new and veteran players.

HEROIC is not licensed to use characters from the MCU or any other copyrighted universe. However, the game is designed to allow players to create their own heroes and villains, drawing inspiration from their favorite comic book characters. It will also feature the all original ZENITH COMICS UNIVERSE.

The ZCU has been developed through game play since the halcyon days of 1985 and has even been published in 2 indie comics, also titled HEROIC. It is a complete universe set in a fictional Bronze Age, and despite having hundreds of characters to draw on, leaves plenty of room for YOU to set your own HEROIC adventures!

We aim to release HEROIC just in time for Christmas 2024 (so maybe grab an extra book as a gift for that superhero fanatic on your list?). This timeline will allow us to finalize the artwork, refine the game mechanics based on backer feedback, and ensure the quality of the physical components.

Well other than the usual stuff with the ball of confusion the world is today (hey hey), we have the base game written, we are just raising funds for a final draft, layout, and art, so this is a pretty good bet!

The reason we chose Print-on-Demand through Drivetrurpg is two-fold. First it significantly raises the price to print, ship, and then pack and reship out books to everyone around the world. Beyond that, DTRPG has printed in the US, Canada, and Europe who can ship from within their own country (usually) which is a massive savings for everyone!

BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.

If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.

Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.

After the campaign ends, you'll receive a survey to pay for any applicable shipping fees, calculated based on your shipping address.

Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.

You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
