Stardust Publications presents Dark Aeons: A New Dark Age; this is the follow-up setting era for the Dark Aeons: The Atlantean Chronicles Roleplaying Game. This setting era takes place about 75 years from now, a horrific plague descended on the entire planet and wiped out 95 % of humanity, the ones that were largely untouched were those of Atlantean heritage. Those that survived the plague turned into a horrifying race of albino cannibals, the Nightsiders, that were allergic to sunlight, anyone that is bitten or scratched by a Nightsider would be doomed to become one of them.

Because of the downfall of humanity, the Atlanteans have retook the planet. Within North America the Atlanteans formed the 3rd Atlantean Empire, within the remains of New York, the surviving military personnel setup a military state headed by a dictator, farther Weston the Great Plains area the remnants of the Native Americans set up their over nation called the First Peoples Confederation, and on the west coast in the north the remnants of the former United States set up the Free Republic of Lesser America. To the south with old Mexico, the Xoltan Empire was established.
