David Bensimon is a Redondo Beach-based Author of The Little Crab Finds a Friend- a brand new astrology-inspired picture book series for children ages 4-8.
David always felt a little different as a kid but didn’t fully embrace what made him unique until he stumbled upon his astrological story. The discovery of astrology and the self-understanding it brought him led to his creation of a twelve-book adventure series for children about a lost Little Crab journeying through an astrological land. Far away from his Dear Mom and submarine home, the Little Crab must embrace the differences between the 12 zodiac characters he meets in each book (like Nel & Xul the Gemini twin flying squirrels, or Turquioze- the Secretive Scorpion) who help him understand the unfamiliar world he finds himself in.
This book introduces astrology as a powerful and inclusive teaching tool designed to inspire a child to fully embrace themselves and their peers. The astrological parenting guide included in each book (and written by conscious parenting expert- Dominique Jaramillo) acts as a to guide for parents to understand their child's astrology, and utilizing that information to support their development.
