If there is one thing I've known my entire life, it's books. Started reading very young, and there was not much for kids or teens in the late 80s. I stumbled upon Piers Anthony at 8 and have been in love with everything Fantasy since. No matter where life has taken me or what genres I discovered, Fantasy is my go to.
Xanth the first would I encountered in the fantasy realm, but Valdemar is the one that has been my anchor. I found the Arrows trilogy as it started in high school and I've been hooked ever since. That world has gotten me thru my darkest days.
I lost the majority of my huge library and Fandom collections when I left my ex and just got the rest my friends got out for me recently. Devastating for a bit, yet in the end its stuff- nothing can change the way those books and art changed me.
I've read well over 15k books.
To every author out there: keep writing!! You will never know all of the seeds you've planted, the forests that grew, every life that's changed by your work, but it happens. Just as the acts of kindness we may not realize as significant is to another.
