Hi, I'm Moh Zainal Abidin — founder of Temartek, based in East Java, Indonesia. In 2018, I started grinding spices by hand for my neighbors' small food stalls. Seven years and countless batches of sambal later, I'm still the one turning the machine on every morning — but I've also learned exactly where the old way falls short: the waiting, the fixed hours, the bottlenecks that hold small food businesses back.
That firsthand frustration became SmartGrind: Indonesia's first IoT-powered, self-service wet spice grinding machine. I've spent the past year building the business case from the ground up — market research, a 13-chapter feasibility study, a full financial model — all done solo, at my kitchen table, between customers.
