Thank you for checking out our project and if you are a returning backer, thank you again! We are excited to present Heroic Adventure! #3 - Veins of the Fallen. This adventure is being published for both Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC RPG) and the 5th Edition of The World's Most Popular Fantasy Role-Playing Game.

This DCC adventure is written by industry veteran Bob Brinkman and is designed for 4-6 second level characters. The 5e version is converted by Scott Moore and is designed for 4-6 characters of levels 4-5.

Heroic Adventure! #3 - Veins of the Fallen
Treasured by dwarves, prized by elves, mystery surrounds mithril, one deeper than any riddle of steel.
 
The dwarven mines of Grungin have long been the envy of kings. For untold generations, the mountain has yielded its treasures freely, and the forges of Grungin rang to the song of the hammer. Now the mines have fallen silent. The deepest shafts stand abandoned, tools left where they dropped, and the miners who fled speak only in whispers… if they speak at all.
 
Now, something ancient stirs in the dark below. 
 
Jarl Thorek Goldkeeper needs outsiders for this work, for the dwarves of Grungin know too much about what lies in the deep places beneath Grungin. Because they have always known, on some level, that the silver veins of mithril running through the heart of their mountains are something more than ore. They simply chose never to ask why mithril seems almost alive in the hands of the worthy.
 
But now, those questions will be answered... in blood.

Both the DCC and 5E editions are packed full of art and new monsters. This adventure is set in The Eastern Lands, which is the default campaign setting for the Heroic Adventure! series, but can be used in any DCC or 5E campaign.

Cover art was provided by Billy Blue (main), Leandro Seidler (alt), and Brett Hess (stretch goal alt).

The 5th Edition version of Heroic Adventure! #3 - Veins of the Fallen was converted by Scott Moore and edited by Rachel Savicki. Interior art, layout, and cartography by Raven Evermoor. Cover art by Dan Smith (main) and Waclaw Traier (alt).

Heroic Adventure! #3 - Veins of the Fallen is published by Explore Dungeons, LLC (under license with Goodman Games), distributed by Studio 2 Publishing, and digitally fulfilled by DriveThruRPG.

The manuscript for Veins of the Fallen is complete. The DCC art is in progress and should be done before launch. The 5e art is in progress and should be done by the time the project ends. 

Everything is being printed/manufactured in the USA. As a result, we do not anticipate any delays with fulfillment beyond the normal BackerKit post-funding timeline:

We haven't calculated exact postage rates yet, but we charge postage by weight in the Pledge Manager. Our fulfillment partner (Studio 2) gets great rates around the world.

Veins of the Fallen book should weigh about 6 oz, slightly more for the 5e version.
Our zines weigh about 4 oz each.
Our other Heroic Adventure! titles weigh from 4-7 oz each.
Deluxe editions weigh about 1.2 lbs.
The dice sets weigh about 6-8 oz.
Boxes add weight too.

Everything is shipped FedEx via our fulfillment partner, Studio 2 Publishing.

Veins of the Fallen is projected to be complete by the end of the campaign, excluding stretch goal content. In other words, this campaign is to crowdfund Production.
