Great question. FIRE SALE 2 is a zine-sized heist module for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror Role-Playing Game. You've been tasked with infiltrating the unassuming Jan Lewis Centre for Terraforming Research to reach the hidden Company Vault below... packed with the mega-corporation's most valuable, dangerous, and esoteric possessions.

100+ experimental weapons, alien artifacts, and galaxy-changing secrets can be found within... all you have to do is get to them alive!
Edit

The module will be approximately 32 pages long and designed from the ground up for all of the following formats:

  • Half-Letter staple-bound (home printing, Bring Your Own Staples)
  • Full Letter ring-bound (home printing, Bring Your Own Binder)
  • A5 perfect-bound softcover (DriveThruRPG Print-On-Demand)

Where the first Fire Sale threw you into the third act of a plan already in motion for a standalone one-shot, the sequel contains a complete framework for running the high-octane, blood-pumping heist of the century from start to finish! Discover a variety of infiltration methods, custom loadouts, heat/detection mechanics, and pages upon pages of new and returning loot. Get stuck in, embrace the chaos, and unleash the contents of the Company Vault back upon its keepers!

The Vault's contents are organized into a variety of common categories. Roll a d100 to search for a specific kind of item, or a whopping d1000 for a truly random result.

Not only that... should you manage to exfiltrate, you'll find yourself cast back in time, loot and limbs intact, to make run after run into the belly of the beast. Some areas of the Vault are nearly impossible to reach unless you possess knowledge from a previous timeline, gradually turning the facility from a tense cat-and-mouse stealth mission into a sandbox of creative carnage. Don't worry - some security systems are reserved for such timeline jumpers. You'll only be digging your grave deeper...

  • The Digital Edition ($20 CAD) comes with all of the standard PDF options, hyperlinked with single pages or spreads, and a full suite of print-at-home options for easy DIY staple- or ring-binding (printer-friendly and full colour options both included!)

  • The Physical Edition ($25 CAD) comes with everything digital, and a Print-On-Demand code to order an A5 perfect-bound softcover of the module.

  • The Deluxe Edition ($30 CAD) comes with everything above, in addition to a named credit in the book and a variant cover for all versions, including your PoD softcover!

Edit

All stretch goals unlocked during the campaign will be integrated into the module itself and thus made available to all future purchasers!
$2K - FUNDED! The plan is in motion. The Company had better watch out... $4K - Hacking Network. Based on the rules found within the Mothership Hacker's Handbook, a complete network map of the Jan Lewis facility and the Vault itself. $6K - Art Expansion I. Real Human Artists from the Mothership community commissioned for art across the book! $8K - New Side Mysteries. Five optional puzzles added to the facility, containing bonus loot or intel for those who wish to earn it.

Edit
Physical and Deluxe copies will be fulfilled via DriveThruRPG's Print-On-Demand service. Once distributed, your PoD codes will allow you to purchase a copy of the module at-cost (estimated $4.35 CAD) - as such, note that your Backerkit pledge does not include printing or shipping costs and you'll need to pay them directly to DriveThruRPG later. Edit

The module is currently in the writing stages, with a planned transition from a text-only draft to working in layout over the summer! I've allotted more time than usual to simply refining and playtesting this one - but overall it's a pretty familiar timeframe to my past projects. If all goes well, I hope to have the book proofed before the holidays and orderable via Print-On-Demand shortly into the New Year!
Edit

While I'm crowdfunding this project earlier in its life-cycle than some of my previous books (usually I'm further into layout by the time I go live), I am nonetheless very confident in my ability to deliver on time without major complications, and I believe my track record can attest to this! The writing and design is familiar territory, and the deliverables are intentionally more constrained in order to keep stability in the increasingly volatile arena of international shipping. Instead of stretching myself to navigate it, my focus on this project is on limiting the number of moving parts to deliver you a high-quality adventure at a reasonable cost, in a reasonable amount of time. Nobody likes surprises, so I'm not inviting any!

As always, if there are complications or delays, you'll be the first to know, and I will do my best to roll with whatever punches might come. My hope is that with this setup, we will be able to keep an even keel!

I'm Joshua Kramer - I'm a Canadian graphic designer and TTRPG writer/publisher! I've authored a number of Mothership modules, including Providers, A Mansion Most Vile, and (co-authored) Mothership Month 2025's Grim Merchants!

I'm now into my third year of creating works for Mothership, and it remains incredibly rewarding on all fronts. My first-ever module was the original Fire Sale trifold, so I am very stoked to revisit it, punch it up, and expand it outwards!
