Stretch Goal Unlocked at $1,000: Echoes of Silence

When this campaign reaches $1,000, every backer will receive an exclusive digital poetry book titled Echoes of Silence: From the Spaces Between Thoughts. This collection is a reflective companion to I Forgot To Live, composed of quiet, meditative poems shaped by ancient wisdom, modern psychology, and philosophy. The poems are designed to slow the reader down and invite honest self-examination, exploring attention, meaning, and the inner conversations we often postpone. This stretch goal is free for all backers, offered as a thank-you for supporting the project and helping it come to life.

I Forgot to Live: A Literary Psychological Novel

In a world obsessed with doing, proving, and surviving, many of us quietly forget what it means to live.
I Forgot to Live is a reflective work on inner disconnection, the moment when life continues to function, yet something essential goes missing. It examines how modern existence conditions us to equate productivity with purpose, endurance with meaning, and success with fulfillment.
Following The Art of Inner Warfare, this second book in the trilogy moves from discipline to presence. Where the first book focused on mastering internal conflict, I Forgot to Live addresses a quieter realization: that control, resilience, and achievement alone are not enough to sustain a meaningful life.
This is not a memoir, nor a motivational manual. It is a composed, human reflection informed by philosophy, psychology, and spirituality, written for readers who sense that something has been lost beneath the noise of ambition and obligation.
The book speaks to high performers facing burnout, seekers questioning surface-level success, and anyone who has paused mid-life and wondered why fulfillment still feels distant.

Why This Book Matters

We live in an era that teaches us how to function efficiently, but not how to live deeply. Achievement is rewarded; presence is neglected. Busyness is praised; stillness is misunderstood.
I Forgot to Live explores:
  • How constant striving erodes presence
  • Why success without self-awareness often feels empty
  • The emotional cost of living on autopilot
  • How meaning is replaced by performance
  • The quiet recovery of attention, depth, and inner coherence
Rather than offering solutions, the book invites recognition, helping readers notice what has been overlooked and reconnect with what was set aside.

The Value

For the Individual
This book does not instruct. It reflects. It creates space for readers to examine their inner lives honestly, without pressure to optimize or improve.
Readers are invited to:
  • Reflect on unconscious patterns of living
  • Understand the cost of perpetual striving
  • Reclaim presence, depth, and emotional clarity
  • Rediscover overlooked meaning in ordinary life
For the Culture
Lasting change begins with inward awareness. In a time defined by speed, distraction, and burnout, this book offers a return to simplicity, attention, and grounded living.
Not as a movement of noise, but of remembrance.

Why Now

Disconnection has become normalized.
Burnout is routine.
Stillness feels unfamiliar.
Depth is increasingly rare.
I Forgot to Live is written for this moment, when many sense that life is moving forward, yet something vital has been left behind.

About the Author

George Achola is the author of The Art of Inner Warfare. His work explores discipline, meaning, and the inner structures that shape human experience.
After writing extensively on resilience and mastery, he arrived at a quieter insight: internal strength, without presence, can still lead to emptiness. I Forgot to Live emerges from that realization.
This book is an honest return—not to achievement, but to life itself.

Context Within My Work

This novel stands in deliberate conversation with my earlier nonfiction work: The Art of Inner Warfare: The 28 Principles for Mastering the Soul
The Art of Inner Warfare examines discipline, self-mastery, and the internal conflicts that shape human behavior. It is concerned with strength, strategy, and psychological control.
I Forgot to Live addresses what follows after those capacities are developed.

All shipping fees will be charged separately after the campaign, during pledge management. The prices listed below are estimates. Final shipping costs will be calculated once production is complete and we are preparing to ship rewards.
Please note that shipping costs may increase if you add additional physical copies, and also note that digital rewards have no shipping cost.
Estimated shipping costs (single book):
  • USA: $15
  • Canada: $20
  • UK & European Union: $25
  • Rest of the World: $30

Important shipping notes:
Shipping is not without risk. Packages can occasionally be delayed or lost in transit. If that happens, replacements will be sent. Shipping timelines may also take longer than expected, depending on destination and carrier conditions.
We will not release the book for retail sale until all backer copies have been shipped.
As noted above, we regrettably cannot offer delivery to every country as part of this campaign. For backers in regions we are unable to ship to directly, the book will be made available through retail distribution overseas shortly after all campaign rewards have been delivered. For most readers in those regions, this will be the most affordable and reliable option.

  • Production: Following final approvals and backer counts (May 2026)

Digital rewards (E-books, Audiobooks, and Cross-collab incentives) will be delivered first, followed by physical books once printing and shipping are complete.
