Welcome back spirits!

What is a Psychopomp?

A psychopomp is an entity, god, spirit, or something else entirely, which escorts the spirit of the dead to the other side. While they may have overlap with gods of the dead, their role as psychopomps are to be a neutral guide that takes the spirit to its proper destination. They are frequently associated with liminal spaces such as crossroads, rivers, and dreams because they function as a bridge between worlds. Animals like dogs, horses, and birds, as a result, are frequently viewed as psychopomps as they move quickly through the world from place to place, though many mythologies choose to make god figures to represent the idea. They carry with them the comfort that when you die, you are not simply gone, but instead you will be guided to what lies beyond.

This project is a continuation on last year's Psychopomps, where I try to represent even more of the wonderful mythology we have around these beings.  Don't worry if you missed last year's project! All of the previous designs will also be available in the pledge manager, after this project ends. They will not be part of the current funding process, only afterwards 🖤

During the project you will only be able to pledge for pins from this campaign, as seen below!

All designs are subject to edits and changes during production

Each month you will receive a package full of all the things Fisher finds while we journey through the American Southeast. Every box will have a different theme, so you can get just one or collect them all! They're even better together. This one-time event will feature stickers, art prints and especially enamel pins, as well as a few other one-off items sprinkled throughout the boxes.

This project is a celebration of both the real and fantastical things that live out in the woods, swamps, ocean and lakes of this region.
