A not so fantasy Middle Ages. A handful of knights. A supreme duty: to hunt down deadly enemies. Some call them Chimeras, Monsters, Dragons, Wyverns, Hippogriffs or Possessed, but few realise they are Xenos, aliens from outer space.
Some of them hide in the woods and forests; others are able to blend in with the villagers. What is certain is that they are a threat that must be eradicated.
To this noble end, the Ordo Sideralis was founded: a chivalric order devoted to scientific research, which rejects all religious beliefs and all foolish superstitions.
The Ordo Sideralis never sleeps: its watchful eye surveys the lands between France, Italy and Germany, constantly on the lookout for these enemies capable of remaining hidden in the darkness, unseen by the villagers.
Mana Project Studio presentsMedievAlien: become a Knight of the Ordo Sideralis.
From the sidereal depths of the universe, a distant race has arrived on Earth. In the aftermath of their crash, these alien parasites, the Larvaes, started to infect both human and animal organisms, mutating them in horrific ways into what are known as Xenos.
The Sidereal Iron, a dark metal speckled with white patches that make it resemble a starry sky, created by the spacecraft’s impact with the Earth’s surface, is the only material that, when forged correctly, can cut through the flesh of the Xeno. However, it will be your character’s training within the brotherhood of the Ordo Sideralis, combined with their attributes, that will truly make the difference in the fight against this threat.
The year is 1245. In a Europe undergoing perpetual change, you are among those few individuals who have been charged with the custodianship of truth: each Fortress dedicated to the Ordo Sideralis is a bastion of science and wisdom, an headquarter for the Quests, and constituting the heart of a knight’s existence. Missions, investigations, gathering of clues and knowledge related to the aliens. Every Quest is unique: these may turn into a direct encounter with the Xeno, a desperate chase through the woods, or a trap.
Whether a success or a failure, every Quest will leave its mark on the Ordo: a Xeno slain, a lesson learnt, or new names carved into the stone of the crypts.
Will you manage to return to the Fortress? Will you manage to gather enough information on the Aliens to record in the Liber Monstrorum?
In MedievAlien, your knights will be part of the Ordo Sideralis: they will be tasked with investigating, tracking down and eliminating the Aliens.
Define your character by endowing them with Fervor, Authority and Sharpness, the three Attributes of MedievAlien. The stars will further determine their Destiny: depending on their zodiac sign, one of their Virtues will be in Light and one in Shadow.
In this Medieval world the Seasons will influence your Quest, determining the resources at your disposal as well as the situations you encounter: autumnal mist might conceal traces, whilst the scorching summer heat might make your armour unbearably hot. It will be easier to obtain food and supplies in the summer, while they will be in short supply in the winter.
At the end of each Quest, you may return to your Fortress: located in a specific city, it is founded upon a particular Virtue that determines its purpose, serving as a guiding principle. However, the Fortress is not just a place your Knights call home: it is a library, a laboratory, a bastion of knowledge where you can learn new technologies, and where you will perfect special weapons known as Xeno Opus, which will enable you to hunt down aliens even more efficiently.
MedievAlien is a game for 2–5 players, which requires a Grand Master, the GM of your adventures.
Players use a dozen six-sided dice and each player has their own Knight sheet. They can also consult the Seasons Board to determine which Tags are active for that time of year.
When a conflict breaks out, each knight must form their own pool of six-sided dice starting from their initial attribute values, taking into account any Advantages and Disadvantages that add or remove dice from the pool.
Before taking action in MedievAlien, it is best to gather as much information as possible about the Xeno you are hunting. To do this, use the Clue Die: add a six-sided die of a different colour to the conflict's die pool. Depending on this die's result, the Knights may come up empty-handed, the GM may have the opportunity to add new Clues about the Xeno, or the Knights may have the chance to define new Clues themselves.
Each Clue defines a characteristic and a weakness of the hunted Xeno. You can draw inspiration from the Corebook or make up this information entirely on your own—that way, no two Aliens will ever be identical! Each Clue should be noted in your Liber Monstrorum and every bestiary will be different.
However, every quest has a single goal: to kill the Xeno. The combat, the Zone Tags, the Weapons and Armor used, the Seasons, and, of course, the Clues discovered about it all play a role.
From concept to final artwork, MedievAlien is the result of the work and talent of human creators. No AI-generated art or text has been used in this project.

In MedievAlien, your knights’ Fortress is a key element, which is why the Fortress also has its own sheet—and it’s a good idea to always have it on hand with this write-and-erase hardcover book stock game board. Seasons are also important in MedievAlien, as they determine the resources available to your knights, as well as the Zone Tags that will influence both investigation and combat; all of these rules are listed on the Fortress game board itself.
While the Corebook contains all the archetypes of the deadly aliens your knights will face, this Bestiary Diary will help you bring your unique monsters to life—an integral part of the MedievAlien rules.
Each Monster, Chimera and Abomination—the three categories of Aliens in MedievAlien—has its own set Archetypes, but you’ll be the one to decide if, how, and when your knights will face a Lamia, a Strigoi or a Succubus, and this Diary will let you record all the unique monsters you’ll create during your game sessions.
This set of 12 custom six-sided dice includes a special die: the Clue Die. Thanks to its unique symbols, this die provides one of three possible outcomes when investigating the trail of the Alien you’re hunting. Will you discover nothing, will the Grand Master determine the Clue, or will you decide what the Clue is? Every roll in MedievAlien has far-reaching consequences.
