A SOUND OF THUNDER is a 100% independent and fan-funded American heavy metal band. We've funded our albums, videos, comics and other projects on Kickstarter since 2012 and are making the move to BackerKit in 2026! We've made eight studio albums, multiple EPs, live concert films, music videos, animated videos, and even our own comic books. We're best known for our songs and music based on our character the Queen of Hell and her nemesis Udoroth, for the viral heavy metal version of the Catalonian anthem "Els Segadors", and for our official musical adaptations of Valiant Entertainment comics & characters! This isn't a project. It's not a business. We're just four musicians bonded by friendship and our love of making cool stuff in the spirit of classic heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and more. At Tamburn Manor we're focused on developing our mountain homestead and a thriving arts and crafts business, while simultaneously homeschooling a family of ten children. William C. Tracy writes and publishes queer science fiction and fantasy through his indie press Space Wizard Science Fantasy (spacewizardsciencefantasy.com). Steve Conley is a cartoonist and TTRPG creator. Steve is the writer and artist of the acclaimed fantasy webcomic The Middle Age which has been collected in three volumes and is free to read online. His first four TTRPG projects include Nibblemancy, Death Dealing, The Prayer's Handbook, and the ENNIE-nominated Intoximancy. I started 3rd party publishing for DCC in 2020 with the Pax Lexque Campaign Guide. Over the next few years, I expanded this campaign world with Isles of the Celts, Kingdoms of Africa, Mare Nostrum and Tribes of the North. Added on to that are a collection of adventures published for this campaign world, as well as two resource books, Scientia Arcana and Librum Draconis. In 2023, I did my first crowd-funded project, Comic Crawl Classics, a super-hero ruleset in the DCC family.

Numinous Spirit Press is run by Cedar McCloud, a queer, auDHD disabled artist and author living in southern California with their partner and cat. They enjoy archaic crafts, nature walks, food, and fashion, despite not being any good at that last one. They use storytelling as a tool for trauma healing and self-expression, which sounds serious but is often called cozy in practice. Cedar is only able to work part time but is a full-time weirdo. Cedar is white, agender, asexual, gray-aromantic and uses they/them pronouns. Cedar has over a decade of publishing and crowdfunding experience, beginning with their webcomic Ignition Zero in the early 2010s. Since then they have successfully funded several tarot decks, oracle decks, and fantasy novels. Their most recognized work, the Numinous Tarot, has been featured in books about the art and history of tarot and sold over 5,000 copies to date. This is their ninth crowdfunding campaign.

I live with my husband, our son and two very loud sausage dogs in the outskirts of Glasgow. Our life is chaotic at times, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I'm currently Lead Editor for Pinnacle Entertainment Group after serving as COO for a decade. I volunteer as Publisher Representative to the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Board of Directors, and as a mentor to the industry. An interesting synergy between our experience in the game industry and furniture manufacturing brought Carolina Game Tables to fruition with my husband, Clint Black. Carolina Game Tables has new life (like a zombie but better?) with Legacy Game Tables under the ownership of our friends, and we serve as consultants for them. We love to talk about both companies, or industry topics in general, at the game conventions we attend around the country.
