Dark Future Dungeon. Indie and vintage RPGs. Portland OR

Bleak Horizons Press publishes tabletop RPG material - from stories set in existing game-worlds to its own signature setting, ALL MUST BOW - with a dash of fiction and poetry. Works on our imprint are reflections on the stark conditions of reality, attempts at catharsis. We do not wallow. We do not leer. Nor do we look away. Behold with us, and weep. Chuzdud Games is a venture of Diana and Ryan, partners living in Portland, Oregon who wanted to take their love of making art and playing games together and share it with like-minded folks. Trinkit, our first game, was inspired by watching (and feeding) the crows in our neighborhood and conceptualized over a steaming pot of tea on a drizzly afternoon in the PNW. If you're like us and can't take a walk without filling your pockets with bugs and rocks, or you're constantly bringing home shiny trinkets that reminded you of your person, then we think you'll love Trinkit! We hope you'll add our first little card game to your stash of shinies!

Nocola received her doctorate degree in Teacher Leadership in 2011 but chose to remain in the elementary classroom for her entire 31-year teaching career. She retired from teaching in 2022 and still finds herself substituting and mentoring youth in her Southern Maryland community. Coming from a family of educators, it is no wonder Nocola fell in love with words and reading at a very early age. She enjoys writing poetry and short stories. Her first book, Freddie the Flounder, was written in 1992 but was not published until 2022. Since the spring of 2020, Nocola and her husband Quincy have been transforming their backyard into a mini homestead, complete with a garden, chickens, and of course honeybees. The Hip Hop Homestead and her family provide the inspiration for many of her children’s books.
