Project Update: Hello! We're 13th Moon Games.
Hello all you lovely followers! We're about 3 days out from the launch for Coven & Crucible: Reforged and we couldn't be more excited. We'll have another update before the launch about the special gift those who back us in the first 48 hours will get.
Before we get to that, though, we thought we should introduce ourselves to you all. We're 13th Moon Games, a small, family run game publishing company. When we say family run, we mean it. The core team for the company consists of:
roach is an author of pagan and witchcraft books. Sew Witchy and A Witch Is … are two of her books published by Llewellyn Worldwide under the name Raechel Henderson. She is in charge of the setting and story aspects of Coven & Crucible.
Stephan Kelly is a pagan and a life-long TTRPG player. He is in charge of the mechanics aspects of Coven & Crucible.
The two met at a World of Darkness LARP in 2008. They are married. They started on writing Coven & Crucible in 2021 when roach asked Stephan if he wanted to take their relationship to the next level by writing a ttrpg together.
Art Goblin Charlotte is their daughter. She has been making art all her life and it is her lifelong passion.
There is also the Gremlin, their fifteen-year-old who helps out with the official Discord and other techinical issues.
We're a queer family of nerds; the kind that play board games and ttrpgs over Thanksgiving and call it Thanksgaming. We love writing Coven & Crucible and love sharing it with the world.
The game came about during one of those Thanksgaming days in 2021 when roach asked Stephan if he wanted to take their relationship to the next level. He immediately said yes. When she said she wanted to write a ttrpg with him, he was even more enthusiastic. We've been writing the game and a few supplements since then on a part time basis. Now, in 2026, we're ready to give this game and company our all. Where we were half-assing it before we're going full-assed.
Thank you for following this project. We're excited to launch the campaign on April 7.
