Project Update: ๐Ÿ›ž And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile...

In Portland, Oregon Trail you are on a once in a lifetime road trip across the United States of America with a group a weirdos like the nerd, the hipster, the activist, and the punk.

What vehicle would you choose for the Portland, Oregon Trail?

๐ŸงYou may ask yourself, HOW did I get here?

In Portland, Oregon Trail your vehicle is like any other character in the game.

It gets its own die and has its own personality and edges. A large vehicle will have big trunk space and plenty of leg room but get worse mileage. A small vehicle will have a smaller gas tank and wonโ€™t have a very solid chassis, but it will get you across the country faster.

  • THE TIN CAN (d4) - This tiny vehicle has great mileage but it breaks down easily.

  • THE COMPACT (d6) - not too big, not too small. It's the real Goldilocks of cars.

  • THE WAGON (d8) - A vehicle big enough to be a pain to parallel park but not so big that youโ€™re scared of an overpass.

  • THE TANK (d10) - Monsters on the road, these gas guzzlers eat speed bumps for breakfast.

๐Ÿ˜ซYou may ask yourself, HOW do I work this?

Your vehicle has unique characteristics, or edges. It is a TTRPG character after all.

Each vehicle gets two edges. These are bonuses you didnโ€™t even know were in this car! These Edges can be used to give your vehicle advantage on Actions and Saves. So hopefully you donโ€™t get a lemon.

๐Ÿ˜˜You may ask yourself, THIS is not my beautiful wife?

Give your vehicle a name. Make it fit on a license plate. Develop a para-social relationship with it. This does nothing but make you feel bad when your car gets hurt.
