If you completed the survey, your ebook should be arriving in your inbox within the next few minutes. Keep an eye out just in case it lands in your spam or promotions folder.
Your ebook is being delivered via BookFunnel, where it will be added to your own virtual library. From there, you’ll be able to:
Read the book directly in the BookFunnel app, or
Send it to your preferred eReader device (Kindle, Kobo, etc.)

A quick update regarding the survey we mentioned in the last post.
After speaking with BackerKit support and looking more closely at the system, we realised that setting up the full BackerKit survey is more complex than we need right now. Since we’re not collecting shipping payments at this stage, BackerKit confirmed that it’s completely fine for us to use a simpler workaround to gather the information we need.
So for the moment, we’ll be using a Google Form to collect the details required for the next step of the project.
This form will allow us to gather:
The name you would like included in the acknowledgements
The email address where we should send your ebook copy of Wing Weaver when it goes out
A couple of quick details to help us match responses with backers.
I’ve attached the Google Form to this update, and I would really appreciate it if everyone could complete it at your earliest convenience. This will help us make sure everything is prepared in time for the upcoming ebook release.
Just as a reminder, this form is not collecting any shipping payments or postal addresses yet. Shipping details will be handled closer to the fulfilment stage when physical rewards are ready.
We’re now getting very close to the ebook pre-release, so collecting these emails soon will help ensure everyone receives their copy smoothly.

I wanted to share a quick update about the BackerKit survey.
I had originally hoped to send the survey out this week so we could begin collecting your details, addresses, emails, and the names you’d like included in the acknowledgements. However, after setting things up behind the scenes we’ve discovered that BackerKit is quite a bit more complex than we initially realised. There’s a fair amount of administrative setup that needs to be completed in the backend before the system will allow us to send surveys out.
Just to reassure everyone: we are not collecting any payments at this stage. We’re not planning to charge shipping right now, that will happen much closer to the fulfilment stage. The current survey is purely to gather the information we’ll need later.
To make sure everything is set up correctly, I’ve reached out to BackerKit support for guidance before sending anything out. It’s important we get it right the first time so that everything runs smoothly for you. Because of that, it’s likely the surveys will now go out sometime next week instead.
Myself and Catherine (PA) have been working hard to get this sorted as quickly as possible, but I’m also juggling the pre-release schedule for Wing Weaver and I’ll be at the London Book Fair all next week, which isn’t the most ideal timing! That said, please rest assured we’ll send the surveys out as soon as we physically can.
We’ve also reached out to our printers to check whether the ongoing global situation might affect printing timelines. If there are any changes or delays, I’ll make sure to update you as soon as we hear back.
On the exciting side of things, we’re now about 10–11 days away from sending out the ebook copies of Wing Weaver to everyone as part of the pre-release schedule, which is a huge milestone.
Also, for anyone interested, the audiobook of Wing Weaver is now available to pre-order on Audible. Audible have acquired the audiobook rights and will be producing and distributing it.

💳 Payments & What BackerKit Is Doing Right Now
As soon as the campaign ended, BackerKit automatically began collecting payments.
⏳ This process takes approximately 2 weeks to complete.
If you experience any payment issues, please contact BackerKit support directly so they can resolve it for you as quickly as possible.
Once all payments have successfully cleared and the funds are transferred to me, I’ll receive the final confirmed backer list.
📋 Surveys – PLEASE Read This Bit Carefully 🙏
Around 2 weeks from now, I will send out your Backer Survey.
This survey is extremely important. It will collect:
• Your shipping address • Your preferred name as it should appear in the Special Edition • Any other relevant edition details
⚠️ I cannot stress this enough: Please complete your survey as soon as you receive it.
I need this information quickly so I can finalise the interior formatting files, including the backer acknowledgements section.
If your address changes later, don’t panic. We won’t be shipping for a few months, so you’ll have time to update it.

As soon as the Deluxe Editions arrive from print, everything else will already be ready to go.
