Since the US has now introduced new international shipping laws and a lot of you are based in the US I wanted to make sure to update you on the shipping situation.

Until now international orders into the US were only subject to tarrifs/import taxes if they were worth over $800. As of the 29th of August that de minimus law will no longer apply and all international orders will be subject to fees regardless of value.

There's not a lot of information out there yet but as far as I can tell the new import laws mean that from now until February 2026 international carriers will either charge a fixed rate fee regardless of parcel value ($80 for the UK) or the tarriff rate (which will be 10% of value from the UK). 
No carrier has yet made clear what their policy is going to be as they haven't been given time to prepare for these changes.

We have an estimated 6 weeks until the pins arrive with me so I'm hoping there will be some clarification from international shipping carriers and/or the US governement before then so that we all know what to expect.

If the plan turns out to be charging everyone the flat rate of $80 I am looking into fulfillment options that would allow me to send all the US orders in one box and then pay someone there to ship your orders internally, which should mean I will cover a single import fee.

I hope you all understand that these tarrif decisions are out of my control and trust that I'm doing everything I can to get your pins to you safely. I'll keep you all updated when I learn more.
