Project Update: πŸ“£πŸ“Š Community Suggested Additions are now open! Smoke test surveys going out today!

I'm commandeering this top line to let you know that we're combining the concept of a Wolf of Wall Street with Cocaine Bear. That's it, that's the top-line announcement.

Enjoy that imagery while we continue working to take it from a stupid idea to a stupid reality.

This is a WIP of the cover of Chromatic Gamut that Daniel Onoch has been working on. I am SO loving this, and I can't wait for it to be finished. Fun fact: Many of the folks on the cover of this book are members of our Discord!

That's right, y'all. Community Suggested Additions are officially open.

That means, if you head over to our Discord RIGHT NOW, you'll be able to make a post in #Murka-Community-Suggestions and give us your best (or worst) ideas. We are collecting community suggestions until November 30th, so be sure to get your ideas in!

This suggestion process will happen in two phases: The first takes place on our Discord server, where you can make your suggestion as well as vote on others. At the beginning of December, we'll organize them into a series of Backerkit polls for everyone to vote on, so only the cream of the crop rises to the top! Will it be your cream? Our lawyers told me I can't ask that question.

(Some) Surveys Going Out!

We're sending out what Backerkit calls "a smoke test" - this means about 1 out of every 10 of you will receive a Backerkit survey. This is to help us double check that all our questions make sense, our add-ons are configured correctly, etc. - also, as a reminder, shipping will be charged closer to the shipping date. This just helps to make sure the costs are as accurate as possible.

So, be on the lookout for that survey, and if you have feedback on the survey, please leave some comments below!

Editing Update

Editing is going really well. Honestly, at this point, we're doing a lot more "new designing" than we are editing. This past few weeks, we've been working on updating the boroughs of Magnamalus, as well as adding a fashion design-themed Fighter subclass (you might imagine this character singing a silken song in terms of playstyle) and a whole slew of new monsters and backgrounds. At this point, I can confidently say that Chromatic Gamut will have the most player options out of any of the books, with more subclasses, more backgrounds, and more feats, than any of our other books! Also our layout artist Cheyenne is working on designing a cute little ratfolk with a few subrace options, so be on the lookout for that as well!

Enjoy this without any additional context. Artist is Humberto Santos.

Open Playtest

I've asked Cheyenne to start prepping our more mechanics-focused content chapters for review, so we can upload some of the stuff we've already designed and let y'all start weighing in on all the ways the items and abilities we've created are super-busted-mega-OP-cracked (we hope not, but you'll be the judges of that). As soon as we've got stuff to share, we'll be posting about it here on Backerkit, so stay tuned!
