I want to take a break from promoting all the cool new stuff coming in HELLCRAWL to talk a little bit about some other projects. One of my favorite parts of joining the OSR community as a writer and publisher is the people I've gotten to meet, mostly through the internet.
Lester is one of those people! I recently got to be part of a live stream playthrough of his Grok?! 2nd edition game. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the way the action kept moving along. It was a very cinematic system and I think the theme of the setting goes very well with Painted Wastelands.

I played as a sentient dust cloud tourist from another dimension who had a gun and a camera. I ran around taking pictures of everything. My favorite part was ending the adventure by throwing the nuclear battery of my alien camera at the AI generated clones. Then my character said "Say cheese." and shot the battery causing a massive explosion.
Grok?! is full of fun stuff like that and cool art. I really suggest you check it out, especially if you like supporting indie TTRPG creators.
