It's November, and that means it's International Games Month, an initiative run by volunteers from around the world to reconnect communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational, and social value of all types of games.
This is my second year donating games to support this cause, and thanks to your generosity as backers, I was able to send bundles containing both The Librarian's Apprentice and Song of the Scryptwyrm to 32 participating libraries! I was also able to get MARC records created for both games, which are the electronic cataloging records, so that it's easier for libraries to add these games to their collections. I've now shipped all copies of Song of the Scryptwyrm and The Librarian's Apprentice that were successfully paid for. If you pledged at a physical tier, you should have an email from BackerKit informing you that the tracking information for your package is available. As a side note, I've discovered that some tracking numbers are not showing correctly, but the links to the tracking information appear to still be working.
If you do not have tracking information in BackerKit, please double-check that you completed the BackerKit pledge manager survey and that your credit card was successfully charged. If you are to receive the bonus postcard for backing physical copies of both Song of the Scryptwyrm and TTRPGkids' Greeting Games, please be aware that it will arrive in your shipment from TTRPGkids rather than in the package from me.
And finally, with the fulfillment largely complete, I'm going to stop providing monthly updates. From here on out, you'll only see updates as I finish the bonus extras, when the library copies are donated, and if something exciting happens related to Song of the Scryptwyrm / The Librarian's Apprentice (e.g., translations, a new game, awards).

My apologies; I managed to tick a wrong box that resulted in you being charged VAT and taxes for shipping. I've now corrected that, so you should see a refund for the extra charge. I'm afraid it may take 5 to 10 days for it to show up, but it's in the works.

If you are a backer, you should have a recent email or two from BackerKit letting you know your order is about to be locked down. Shortly after all the surveys are locked, shipping costs will be added and final charges will be applied to your card. Then I can start sending packages out. If you haven't completed your original survey yet, please do so as soon as possible!
In other news, my Pocketopia cross-collab partner - the ENnie awarded TTRPGkids - is kicking off their next TTRPG crowdfunding project in September! StoryGuider is a series of 36 adventures designed for kidsages 2-7 that intentionally teach social emotional learning skills and provide practice of other skills (like fine motor control) as part of the story itself and story-related engagement activities.
StoryGuider was initially published a few years ago as an aid for a pre-K teacher looking to improve class engagement on the school’s social-emotional learning curriculum. This campaign aims to not only improve the stories based on feedback and lessons learned but to also hire artists to update the coloring and activity pages. All art in these choose-your-own-adventure style books will be made by humans, and the team includes two skilled teen artists who are kicking off their careers in illustration and comics.
The print-on-demand Collection deck links were distributed on July 28 through the BackerKit Pledge Manager. If you picked up a pledge tier that included this reward, you can use the link to order your deck through DriveThruRPG for just the cost of printing. I love how well these cards turned out and since it's going to be a while before the books are available, definitely take advantage of the cheapest/slowest shipping option.
Aug 1 EDIT: the original link I sent out was accidently for the PDF version of the cards, not the printed cards. I've updated the download link on BackerKit Pledge Manager so that it now adds the printed cards to your DriveThruRPG cart. Sorry for the confusion!
And speaking of the books, I've received word that the printing is complete. We've now begun the 6 to 8 week wait for shipping/delivery.
