Project Update: Stretch Goals Revealed & Financial Need Scholarships Announced
Hi everyone!
Arc Manor and Mercedes Lackey are thrilled to share that we have some amazing stretch goals planned for this campaign... and you've already unlocked two of them!
At $100k we added a full-color foil bookmark to every book order and at $120k we added a framable foiled postcard. But we're not stopping there.
At $130k (less than $3000 away when we wrote this paragraph), we'll add a full-color dust jacket to each book. These are designed so that you can keep them on the books, or remove them, flatten them, and have two new art pieces ready for framing on your wall!
And at $140k, we get to start commissioning new full-color paintings for the books. Our first artist stretch goal is for new art from Jabari Weathers!

They presently reside in Baltimore, Maryland, making fantasy and sci-fi illustrations and spinning worlds and fictions for roleplaying games and other interactive projects out of words to keep up their glamour. Other things that they enjoy are strange films, stranger music, singing in public places, and the thoroughly uncanny.

SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED
We are happy to share that scholarships for fans experiencing financial need are returning for the Deluxe Halfblood Chronicles. Arc Manor has agreed to match every dollar that is contributed to the Scholarship Fund, which means that for every $100 raised we'll be able to gift another full set of books, including all stretch goals, to a fan in need.
As always, this is a fans-helping-fans situation. We know that times are rough and we're hopeful that this program will get more books into the hands of people who can't manage a full pledge right now.

- Fans in need may apply at this link.
- Backers may contribute to the scholarship pool in ten dollar increments by selecting this add-on. You may contribute as few or as many times as you want.
- For each $100 raised, Arc Manor will unlock another book for a scholarship recipient.
- Once a week BackerKit will upload granted scholarship recipients. We'll send recipients an email letting them know that it's time to pledge.
- Anyone who receives a scholarship and misses the pledge window will be added manually after the campaign closes.
The scholarship program is run on the honor system. We reserve the right to close the program without notice in the case of abuse. We cannot guarantee that all applicants will receive funding—it depends on how many fan contributions come in. Scholarships will be granted in the order received.
