Update #21 -- Charging cards and delivery of e-books
Hey everyone!
Aloe is officially formatted for ebook! The e-ARCs just went out, I'm waiting on BackerKit to charge cards for shipping so I can send out orders ♥ You'll definitely have the e-books by the 21st!
As for print, I need to finish formatting that tomorrow. But, it will be finished and uploaded to my vendors by the end of the day, so I should be able to order printed books soon! Things are moving along!
There are still two people who haven't done their surveys, please get those done! I cannot send you your orders if I don't know where to send :)
I'm not sure if I'll have another update until everything is fulfilled on my end, but know that I've had an amazing time working on this book and I hope you love it as much as I do!
The first edit pass is finished! All of the minor fixes are fixed. Time for me to go through one last time and tighten up the larger thing, then format and send! I'm back to the beginning of the book, but will be going through it much faster on this second pass.
A few backers still haven't gotten their surveys filled out; please make sure to do that so I can lock your orders in! Audiobook backers-- the audiobook is not ready yet and much less ready to ship, so sit tight for that reward! You will be the first to have it.
I'll be back next Monday with what will hopefully be the last update (for now.)

Also, just a quick update to keep you in the know! I'm currently on chapter 21 of 32 for Aloe's big edit pass. I have one more quick overarching pass to do after this! My newsletter pushed me a day and a half behind, but I built in some breaks for this reason. I'm still on track to get Aloe's e-book out to everyone by the 18th, so that's the goal! Hard to believe that we're so close to the finish line.
I'm going to stop talking and get back to editing. Thanks for being on the journey with me!
I hit the top of chapter 12 today, hoping to finish chapter 12 before the end of the night. This puts me at roughly 1/3rd of the way through the book, so I'm moving quite fast. If I can keep hitting this pace then I'll be done editing September 9th. That gives me about a week for formatting, which it likely won't take me that long.
The first few surveys were sent out, so please keep an eye on your inboxes! The rest of them should go out by Wednesday (the 26th.)

I got the book back from my editor a few days ago, and I am about halfway through Chapter 3 right now with edits! It's going really well; my editor is really thorough, as always.
The highlights you can see here are all things I've either changed, added, or moved, based on feedback. (This particular section was a bit rough. It reads so much better now.) In any case, I want to touch base once a week with an edit update until this beast is finished!
There's 34 chapters total. So, at midway through chapter 3, I'm about 9% through. Unless anything changes, I should be a good deal further by the time I check in next monday!
Update #16 - Production update -- Getting the manuscript back this week!
Hello! Good afternoon!
I wanted to give another production update, considering it's been a while since I've touched base and I have some good news! Originally I planned to get the novel back into my hands for final edits closer to the end of August, but my editor sent me a message on the 7th that she should have it back to me early this week!
This is really exciting because not only does it give me extra time to edit, but it also means that I may be able to get the manuscript out to you all sooner than I thought! Once I have it back to me, I'll send out an update once a week to share where I'm at in the final edit pass, and I'll send out the surveys soon!
In the meantime, if you'd like to see some of the other projects happening - - An anthology I'm in called Uncanny and Uncouth is looking for ARC readers. - Such Sweet Sorrow's teaser is live! It's not connected to The Night Garden, but it is a novel that is very near and dear to my heart.
