Project FAQ
Our goal is to submit the game to print to the factory in early 2026, for a mid-2026 release to backers and then retail stores.
We don't have a full PnP available for Relics, but we will be releasing playtest PnPs for certain elements before and after Dev streams, where appropriate. There are no plans to have a pledge tier for PnP.
Yes, we plan to have Handelabra add Relics of the Forge to the One Deck Dungeon app currently available on many platforms.
While we have much of the gameplay design and art completed for Relics of the Forge, there's still playtesting and development to be done, and additional artwork. We'll be working on this during the campaign (on Fridays you can join in as we do dev work on Twitch!) and aim to have everything done by December to send the game to print. In particular, much of the game design and artwork for stretch goals will happen after they are unlocked! We try to avoid hiding work we've already done behind goals.
We'll be showing more during the Dev stream on August 23. The concept is that after you defeat the boss, you must escape the dungeon before it crumbles around you! It's a mini-expansion that you can add to your game if desired, and will take 5-10 minutes to complete at the end of a game.
You can either ask in the comments section, or contact us directly at [email protected].
We are using BackerKit's cool new Trivia Challenge feature! But, we don't have the same quantity of trivia available as say, a book author or big RPG setting. So our questions are *riddles*. Each has a correct answer that will take a bit of clever wordplay or lateral thinking to figure out. The teams are all named after prospective Relics - the top scoring team will have their relic designed and included in the final game! There are also stretch goals to extend this to the top several relics instead of just one. Enjoy the riddles! Please don't publicly share the answers if you figure them out - the fun is in the search :)
This campaign is for the English version. We have many localized versions of One Deck Dungeon around the globe, and the partners for those versions will likely produce Relics of the Forge in 2025.
If you back our campaign and the River Dragon and Underworld Jackal Plush campaign before both campaigns end, then you will qualify for our special cross collab incentive. BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
