Project Update: Back From Christmas Shipping Update

Hey All!
I hope you all had a great Christmas break with your family, friends and/or loved ones.
Just wanted to do a quick mini-update, as I just pushed a final remaining bit of orders (20) over to the warehouse. So at this point everyone should have an order email (there are 5 of you who didnt do at all tho).

I did notice a few comments of some missing items, specifically regarding older calendars. I know for some of the older calendars we were limited with on-hand inventory, but I'm getting the warehouse to update those numbers (and let me know what we have left) asap today, so I can see what we have and don't have so I can see if i need to pull from my own personal stash of calendars or if we need to do something different.  (and note this looks like it might only be the 2025 calendar that was affected)

Again, hope you had a wonderful holiday, and if there is anything missing, please email
[email protected] and ill take a look at whats going on (and please let me know whats missing, just so i can verify it with the shipped info).

Project Update: Calendars Are Shipping!!

Hey All!!
Sorry for the delay, I am happy to report that calendars have begun shipping out!

There was a little bit of a delay as the warehouse who had to order additional packaging. But I am seeing orders going out, and thats a good thing!  All of you should have received your order emails from the Baby Bestiary store, and if there is anything missing, seems off, or you missed it, feel free to reach out and let me know and ill look into it ([email protected]).

I'm excited for these to get in your hands, and I hope everyone has been having a great Thanksgiving week! For us, this was our first Thanksgiving without any extended family, and we, *struggled* had a lot of fun, trying to keep the cooking going and our toddler and infant entertained at the same time. (but at the end of the day everything was good...tiring but good).
All the best and more to come!

Project Update: Campaign Ends at 6pm PST!! Stardew Druids Edition!

Hey all!
Super excited to announce that at 6pm pacific, the campaign will be wrapping up, and we'll get started getting the survey for addresses put together, and finalize the layout of the calendar while the final two pieces get finished.

And we get to show off,

We start out with  our reference art, and some sketchup styles

Another concept art idea

Concept ideas for druid-y homes
hoenstly all of these were pretty cool, i felt like 3 was the most, 'house-y' that would give home vibes while not straying too far away from a recognizable stardew aesthetic

Druid concept art
i picked the last one cause feather mantles are awesome.

Blockouts to figure out scale/zoom
even though the right is more true to resolution, the left is more readable (esp as a calendar image)
First color pass

More Plants

Added animals and character,, and some more details
also added some runestones

And finally UI

We might try and add a few more pieces of creatures, to add to it, as the myconid/flumph and unicorn arent enough. But super loving how everything came together!!

and also as i say this, I should probably set the date/time to correlate to a lunar event, becuase that would be a fun coincidence

Anyways, i hope you enojy these WIP pieces, and thank you all for the support

Project Update: Ending Soon, Dragons Overcooked Kitchen!

Hey All!
We're hard at work, getting the calendar layout going, and finishing up the last few pieces.
We've got 5  days left, and if there are any calendar images that are a favorite of yours please share it with your friends to get the word out (or buy an additional one as a gift, that works too!)

For this post, I want to take a moment to show off our process of our Overcooked piece!

To start out, sketches!
Using some maps of overcooked as inspiration (and adjusting to a wide page layout.
Initially I was thinking something like the horde mode where wed have wyrmlings on the sides, instead we opted for a more 'boss mode' where you're feeding the dragon, and the little wymlings may interefere (burning or eating things on the stove).

Koit had the idea of kobolds,  sort of serving the dragon, which makes a ton of sense.

Then it came down to placement of the map  and firming down details

A flat color pass of the background, and a couple of overlayed graphics to see where things may go

Translated

detail pass

UI, chefs, wyrmlings and more of the glowing effects

Here we noticed that the stage was a little funny shaped and that we should take advantage of the whole area (no need to have two visual walls

Also we talked quite a bit at what kind of food should the dragon be cooking. Should it be all meat? or something else?
IDK why but i came across burnt rice recipies, and perfect timing, because that seems fitting for a dragon to enjoy burnt foods.
So we ended up with Chicken Skewers and Tahdig (also known as scorched rice), which is typically cooked with saffron and served with yogurt.

So icons for the food, and updated plate positioning

We made some additional layout adjustments, to the cutting board, ink and pots to not only make it more 'playable' but also visually clear (like you can barely see the sink in the image above)

Then there was the recipie card we had to revise it a few times, because the ingredient shows the recipie. In addition to the timer, being reflective of the urgency.

And from there we finished!!

This was a super fun piece. We only have 5 days left, and thanks for joining us on this amazing journey!
