Sam Sa'stoh is the personified archetype of toil--or as Remy likes to call him, the Patron Saint of Workaholics. His talisman is a silver ring with a gorgeous red stone—painite in the book, crimson tiger's eye or fire/aurora opal (pictured) in real life—that is said to provide strength and reduced vulnerability to humans who wear it. It makes its first appearance in Part 2 of Book 2.
