To our loyal backers, 
We identified a substantial print issue just before shipping to our warehouse which has forced us to make the decision to undergo a full reprint of our print order. This unfortunately has set us back 3-4 months from our planned shipping dates. With the reprint and shipping time to our warehouse, we expect to ship the books to backers in the early part of August.  In preparation, we'll begin surveys with final address information in early June to ensure we are ready to get them out as soon as possibly can. Meanwhile, we hope you are are enjoying the PDF

We have good news- the proofs for both the deluxe hard cover and the softcover pocket version of Laws of the Night have been accepted and the final printing order was put in before Chinese New Year!  However, this major festival will definitely impact the speed of the order being printed, We hope to have them shipped to us by end of March and send them out to backers in April.  For those who have asked about address changes, we will send out the survey for shipping addresses and requesting shipping charges closer to the time we are ready to ship, so look out for those in mid- late March.

IWhile we wait,  we'd like to invite you all to our upcoming Premiere V5 MET Vampire events, with several larps and interesting panels through the weekend- tickets for Chicago in June are available now, and Las Vegas in November will be available soon:

We have some great news regarding Laws of the Night. In our last update, we confirmed that the final drafts were completed and had been sent to the printers.  We are excited to announce that the proofs of the final product are nearing the end of completion and will be available for review very shortly. 

Once the proofs are reviewed and approved, they will be submitted back to the printer for final production, and then shipping!

We want to thank you again for all of your support. We are excited for you to receive the finished product.

In addition, we have some exciting news that we are going to be releasing very soon that we can't wait to share with you. Look for an upcoming announcement here and on our socials.  Here's a hint - you may need a suitcase for this!

It’s almost Halloween, and we know that everyone has their favorite costumes ready to go!  For those of you who don’t like dressing up, there is always that delicious smell of pumpkin spice, fall leaves and the anticipation of leftover candy and Halloween goodies.  We at By Night Studios couldn’t decide what type of candy to give out this year (seriously, we were arguing over what the BEST kind of candy is!), so we decided on a compromise, and you don’t even have to dress up to get your trick or treat surprise!

For all of our Laws of the Night backers, we wanted to let you know that we received feedback regarding content and rules, so we have updated our pocket PDF with new edits and rules clarifications.  These updates are available now - all you have to do is log into your BNS account and re-download the PDF.  The new PDF contains all of the newest updates.

The FREE Laws of the Night Quick Start Guide is now available!
The Quick Start Guide (QSG) is designed to give new players an easy start in V5 larp- something to glance through quickly to get the gist of what a mechanics based larp offers. They can then pick a ready-made character out of the back and jump right into game and play for a couple of sessions. It even provides a resolution mechanic for brand new players that trivializes challenges or encourages veteran players or backup storytellers to teach the new player the full process of what they are attempting to do.
The QSG functions as a recruitment tool for larp groups and those who want to get an idea what Vampire: The Masquerade is all about, but it does not allow one to create a fully fleshed out character, or one with significant xp to it. For example if you are attending our first Premium V5 VtM event, Darkness Emergent, in San Antonio November 2-5th, you will definitely want the full book.

 We are excited to let you know that the first Laws of the Night PDF is available now!

This PDF version of "Laws of the Night" serves as a first release to help players get started. It focuses primarily on the rules and is designed for easy reference during gameplay. It's text-heavy to facilitate quick searches with ctrl+F, making it a practical resource for players. 
A deluxe edition of the PDF will have more space and additional artwork; this is an important and popular aspect of RPG books, as artwork can enhance the immersive experience for players. The deluxe PDF will come out in about a month. You will receive the deluxe edition PDF once it is ready at no extra cost!  Extra artwork for the deluxe hardback book has already been approved and will be included too.
This being the first version, while we proof read and edited the PDF, if we missed something, we welcome readers pointing out any spelling or continuity errors, or grammar and design issues as well as clarification you feel are needed so the deluxe PDF can be even better!  Any such feedback should go to:  [email protected]

To get your PDF, go to our website and make sure you are logged into your account with the email you used to back Laws of the Night.  Then go to the Laws of the Night category https://bynightstudios.com/laws-of-the-night-books), and the Pocket PDF should show as FREE.  Add it to your cart, and check out as normal; adding a billing address but no credit card details as it is free/ you already paid. You can then download the PDF from your order screen, or from the order confirmation email.

Even though this version of the PDF is art-light, it is a big book so we recommend being on a strong, stable wifi connection when downloading.
