Writer's Consultation with Shawn P. Butler
Shawn P. Butler is an academic, teacher, marketer, and entrepreneur, as well as a writer and cultural anthropologist. He has lived and studied on four continents while learning four and a half additional languages.
Shawn’s long-time fascination with ancient civilizations from Mesopotamia to Mesoamerica includes two years living in the Yucatan Rainforest among the modern descendants of the ancient Maya where he encountered the distinct mythology and fascinating traditions that breathed life into this short story which originated as a deleted scene from his mytho-historical series The Talisman Cycle and earned an Honorable Mention in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest
Shawn holds an MBA from Georgia State University, an MS from the Sorbonne, and a BA in marketing from BYU. In addition to being an expert in writing and marketing, Shawn is a guest speaker on world cultures and communication at several universities and is passionate about sharing these concepts with students and adults.
