Launching

October 2026

Carnival 6 Studio, the home of professional illustrator Laurel Shelley-Reuss, presents the Deck of Many Things, a fully illustrated tabletop game accessory for you to use to lure your players into wicked traps and unexpected rewards. Laurel is an illustrator with 15 years of experience, currently working as a character designer and concept artist for animation, all while trying to find the time to still run games for her friends when their schedules and the stars align.

The Deck of Many Things will include the twenty-two standard cards and five rules reference cards, and the campaign will offer up to four backers the chance to work with Laurel to create their own cards and an additional rules reference card will be added for these custom designs.

The cards included in a standard Deck of Many Things are loosely based of Tarot, but have grown over the years to include: Balance, The Comet, The Donjon, The Euryale, The Fates, The Flames, The Fool, The Gem, The Idiot, The Jester, The Key, The Knight, The Moon, The Rogue, The Ruin, The Skull, The Star, The Sun, The Talons, The Throne, The Vizier and The Void.

This project has been a huge labor of love over the past two years, which has led to this upcoming launch! Laurel has been a tabletop gamer since she was small, and her decades of play led to the spark that began this journey.

Backers who sign up in the first 48 hours of the project will receive an exclusive sticker set and there are more potential rewards waiting!

The illustration work is finished, the prototype deck is in the studio for testing, and it's just waiting for your support to help make it a reality! Thank you so much for taking a look at this project and following along!
