Laurel Shelley-Reuss is the illustrator and artist behind the webcomic Facet, as well as previous webcomic projects The Handbook of Heroes and Chorus of the Neverborn. She also wrote, designed and drew the graphic novel Olive Peril, published in 2010 by Arcana Studios.  She currently works as a character designer and background artist for Ninjio Animation in Los Angeles, CA. Her freelance work includes illustrations in White Wolf’s Graceful Wicked Masques book, RPG modules for Adventure-A-Week, coloring books, mobile apps and television commercials. 

She started playing TTRPGs as a young kid, starting with AD&D and has been gaming around a table with her friends and family ever since. The Deck of Many Things is a years-long endeavor to create something that celebrates her love for tabletop games and the mishaps that inevitably come from players coming across the Deck during play.
