Updates

A short update on Where We're At for fulfilling this project, which is mostly "we're waiting on other people to finish their bits before I can continue forward with mine":

AHAHAHAHAHA I just got a pile of SWAG and I'm ENTIRELY DELIGHTED with it and myself and you guys and just basically everything! :D

I've also just sent the cover specs off to the cover designer to do the BackerKit-special-print-edition of the, er, print edition (I word real good), and...

I swear to frog, guys, I'm terrified of the BackerKit survey stuff. I've had to email to ask questions about how to...do...everything...with it. And I need to do that so I can get EVERYBODY'S *NAME* the way they want it in the Special Thanks Acknowledgements part of the book! Because once I've got the cover wrap, it's basically just getting the names in place and the *book* part of this is done!

In fact, at this point, in terms of swag, I'm waiting on the magnets and the books. Everything else has arrived: bookplates, stickers, postcards, which are...not in the pictures because they're upstairs and I forgot about them...more stickers, posters, mousepads... it's all this fun LOOT and I'm really pleased with it! :D

I was going to wait until I had the text treatment for the unlocked SHARK-MAN art but honestly I'm insanely impatient and wanna give you guys these backgrounds right away because I'm like that. :D

Also I fully intended to only do one phone background but then I was having so much fun dorking around choosing colors that I more or less decided "why not ALL of the colors?" and went with that :D

Also also, if you want I can do a phone background of Just The Art, but I get so annoyed with being unable to read the time/date/weather/whatever I have at the top because the art is too many colors beneath it that I went with solid/gradients and the art at the bottom. But do shout out if you'd like Just The Art, because it won't take long (I can do a Just The Art for the computer background too, for that matter).

I'll be providing a zip file of these later along with the rest of the backgrounds, but again: IMPATIENT. WANT TO SHARE. So, uh, here you go! :D

I'm trying desperately to hold off on showing you guys the swag until I've actually got it all in my hands so you can admire the whole lot of it at once, but I just got the finished unlocked art and it's TRULY INCREDIBLE and I must share it with you! :D

Once I've got the text treatment done, this will be available as digital computer & phone backgrounds, and will be featured inside the BackerKit Edition of both the print (in B&W) and ebooks.

I will probably *not* make print editions with this cover available, but I might do e-book editions if people want them, because it's relatively trivial to do so. Let me know what you think. :)

I finished re-reading THE SEDUCTION OF SHARK-MAN yesterday, and got the edits finished this morning, and - this is a REALLY FUN BOOK, my friends. I really enjoyed reading it! And I know that might sound silly, but honestly, I finished writing it almost two years ago and I've only glanced through it since while posting serialized chapters and stuff, so yeah, it was a lot of fun to actually just read! Yay!

I'm working on the first of the short stories, and I gotta tell you I'm having a terrible time making decisions about the titles, because on one hand, THE LOVE OF LION-MAN is the obvious title/schematic for a tie-in story for this book, but also, the reason they're shark-man or lion-man or tiger-man or whatever is because they're *SCIENCE SHIFTERS* and have a half-human, half-animal form that the 'natural' shifters don't so unless I make them all SCIENCE SHIFTERS, which I wasn't gonna because ... I wasn't gonna* ... I *shouldn't* use that title scheme. Even if I love it. WOE. *WOE*!

(I mean I wasn't gonna because if I did they'd basically all have to be set after the completely imaginary sequels to SHARK-MAN and I'm not mentally prepared for figuring out the world at that point, so I'm probably NOT gonna, but also...maaaan!)

Ummmmm. Right, there's a poll attached to see how many of you have read the GLADIATOR SHIFTERS series, so if you don't mind answering this one I'd really appreciate it!
