I realized I meant to put my previously produced owl pins into the add-ons and had completely forgotten! They are now in there at a discount compared to their normal price. This includes Great Horned, Barn Owl, and Snowy Owl. You will be able to edit your survey/add-ons for about two weeks before I lock down orders so go ahead and add these if you're interested!
If there are any other items from my typical shop as add-ons just let me know!
I probably can't add everything but if some items are particularly popular I will add them in so that you can get combined shipping. (I won't be doing combined shipping with Etsy orders because it's far to complicated.)

Backerkit Surveys
Surveys will be sent by the end of this week. This is where you choose which pins you want, let me know your mailing address, and have the option to add additional items. Stickers - I am working on putting together sticker sheets for ALL the birds now. It should be a total of 4-5 different sheets that will be available. "All In" Pledge Level - I will be adding a pledge level that you can switch to (and pay the difference) to get one of EVERYTHING if you're interested in the full set!
Other Stuff
Payments - about 30 of you still have failed payments, if these aren't fixed by May 2nd I'm going to have to drop you from the project, sorry! You will be getting Backerkit emails to fix your payment method if you are one of these people. Preorder Store - will also open when surveys are sent! So those who did not back will be able to get items as well, though early backers always get the best deal! Timeline - we are well on schedule, I should have pins ordered about a week after the surveys are sent. The faster you fill out the surveys the faster I can order the pins! So keep an eye out for more updates.

PLEASE report any problems to me immediately: if items are missing a design variant, shipping prices look incorrect, or you are unable to purchase an addon you want, come to me as soon as you can. To report problems you can comment here, or contact me directly at [email protected].
The first backer to report each major issue will receive a free random mini feather pin with their pledge rewards.
Once any problems have been rooted out and corrected, I will send all surveys! The faster you complete them, the faster I can get final counts and get you your birds.

For those of you who are following the project and getting updates but did not back it, now is your time! The preorder shop is open. Please note, Preorders will ship immediately AFTER crowdfunding orders are fulfilled to be fair.

So, what's next?
Right now, all the pledges are processing. If your card was declined for whatever reason, you will get an email from Backerkit to fix it. Please do this as soon as you can! After 1 month without a successfully charged card I will need to drop your pledge.
In about two to three weeks, early May, you will get an email from BackerKit with a link to the post campaign pledge manager/survey. With it you will tell me which pins you want, your shipping address, and you will pay for shipping. Shipping estimates, as well as general timeline, are on the main page.
During the survey you will also have the opportunity to purchase additional add-on items! I am working to put together sticker sheets including each design before I launch the surveys.
Earlybirds
Here is something specific to earlybirds on my project (and those who might want to add pins later on) I was not happy with my initial "earlybird" design and have made a new version which I am MUCH happier with.

A lot of work is ahead for me. I still have FIVE bird designs that I need to complete and may be adding a SIXTH because I can't believe I forgot the RED BELLIED WOODPECKER. I will be sending all designs to my manufacturer as soon as I am able.

I'm hoping to go for a "one of everything" kind of pledge. I see there are multiple pledge levels, but I don't think any of them fit the bill of that description - some are under the total number of pins and at least one pledge is for more than the total number of pins. Will there be a pledge that gets you one of each bird? Also, if you pledge over the number of total pins (30) what do you do with the extras?

First off, we just hit 22k, so that means the Great Blue Heron x Cattails, Kingfisher x Trout Lily, and Wood duck (design in progress) are unlocked in addition to the other 21 birds.

I'll be taking feedback on additional birds and adding them as quickly as I can, but I want to make sure I take the time for high quality designs.
I tend to release pins in sets of 3, so according to feedback here are some sets I am hoping to sketch up for you:
mockingbird, catbird, robin
purple martin, indigo bunting, blue jay
towhee, red winged blackbird, oriole
hummingbird, kinglet, northern flicker
sparrows???
and THEN get into some larger, less backyard-y local birds:
barred owl, screech owl, saw whet owl
red tailed hawk, osprey, eagle
great blue heron, kingfisher, wood duck
I also love to include plants with each, so if you have any suggestions on native foliage to include I'd love to hear it!
