As the books are being bound, I managed to badger a photo from the printer with the printed edges that incorporate Simon's leaf design. They will look much better once bound (and once I have them to get better photos, but here is what they are looking like:
It's a short but sweet one, today, but I thought you might like to see the books as they progress. I'm hoping to get photos from the printer of the full book very soon, but I'll also be getting some copies sent to me by air freight so I can show them off with better images.
If your address has changed, please don't worry. We will reach out to all backers just before fulfilment. I'll do this in updates and emails direct.
Coming in with a quick update for you as things plod steadily on. I'm anticipating photos of the books with edge printing at any moment, but in the meantime we've just been a photo of one of the boxes fresh out of production.
Before I dish out the photos, I'd love it if you could help me with something. We've been invited to take part in the BackerKit ENnies Emporium, because my game Punk is Dead won an ENnie last year. This is basically a drive to get more people interested in indie games. You don't have to back anything, just give us a follow.
Right, on to those box pics.
I'll get better pics once they arrive.
So, we are expecting everything to be start heading to us this month which means fulfilment is anticipated to begin in August.
As a reminder, I will reach out to everyone for the opportunity to change addresses, but in the meantime, hang tight! We are getting there.
This is a short but sweet one. The ribbon bookmarks are all created now and with the printer, so we are just waiting for someone to confirm the books are edge printed then it's on to binding it all together. As soon as that happens we will have images of the completed book.
For now, here are the ribbons:
We went a little bit more chonk with the bookmarks to make the designs pop.
I know this update my feel a bit inconsequential, but I do like to share the process where I can and also let you see the small details that go into every aspect of creating Wires in The Woods.
I'm not sure what the next update will be as I keep getting little production surprises myself. But I do know it will be soon.
Production update: Artefact and forager punch out cards.
Hey there!
It's so nice to be able to come to you, once more, on a Friday with yet another production update after a dearth of news over the past few months.
So, this time it's the punch out cards.
These contain some nice additions to the game:
All of the artefacts so you can draw them at random.
A Zeal tracker marker.
All five forager types to use as location trackers.
Anyway, here are the receipts (better photos coming once I have them here)!
You know you want to...
That feels so goooood.
Swoop!
Next thing we are waiting on are the photos of edge-printing on the books, which I am assured is happening RIGHT NOW, and the journals which are currently having their spines fitted with cloth tape.
I can't wait!
But I'll have to.
Back soon with more news. In the meantime, have a lovely weekend.
