Players become heroes through daring deeds, epic adventures and hard-fought battles. But during all of that, they also meet incredible people, form connections and build relationships. Sometimes, they may even fall in love...
We're excited to announce that Legends of Akeroth will include Romance Rules - mechanics designed to help you cultivate meaningful relationships with NPCs in both solo and group play!
What These Rules Will Do:
Provide structure for building genuine connections with characters you meet
Track the development of relationships over time
Create memorable moments of emotional depth
Work seamlessly whether you're playing solo or with a group
Add another layer of storytelling to your hero's journey
We're still working on the specifics, but the heart of it is simple: relationships matter. The bonds your hero forms, romantic or otherwise, should feel real, earned, and significant to your story.
Whether it's:
The childhood friend who becomes something more
The rival whose conflict sparks into passion
The companion met on the road who understands you like no one else
The unexpected connection that changes everything
...these rules will help you tell those stories with depth and meaning.
