Hi y'all, Nora again, and...

Wow!!

Just!! Wow!!

Only minutes after our project launched and we're already funded! 

This is bleeding incredible and not something I could have expected in even my wildest dreams. Everything else from here is a bonus that lets me and Iris make the game the best it can possibly be. I couldn't be any happier, and I thank each and every one of you for making this happen!

But this isn't even the start of the news, because not only have we hit our funding goal, we've also blown past several of our Stretch Goals!!! I'm going to take the time here to talk calmly about what each of the unlocked and newly revealed stretch goals mean - but I can't overemphasize just how excited I am right now. Thank you all - again. 

With 70 unique backers, we've unlocked "The Mentor"! A playbook focused on telling the stories of the card gaming veterans looking to teach the new generation. From washed-up professors to spunky older siblings looking out for the kids just getting their start - your skills and friendship are what could help someone else save the world. 

The work on this playbook hasn't started proper - we've been focused on making sure the core book is as exciting as possible and didn't expect this to be unlocked so fast. But once the full game has released, we'll be working hard to get this (and any further unlocked playbooks) ready and playtested as soon as possible - made freely available to all backers and for a small fee to anyone who missed the campaign. 

We'll be commissioning Derek Ehlmann to create a special NPC encounter for Perfect Draw! to be included in the core book! Derek Ehlmann is the creator of Oddity High!, another game using the Powered by the Apocalypse framework that looks to recreate stories of anime-style school adventures that take the life of a high schooler and drive it off the deep end! Taking inspiration from series like Persona, Haruhi Suzumiya, and Mob Psycho 100 - it's a game where you could be dealing with (or even be) anything from demons, to aliens, to gods, to ghosts.

We hope you're excited to see what they cook up for Perfect Draw!

We believe that even the people who can't afford it should have the chance to play Perfect Draw! without having to resort to piracy. Thanks to your help, we've been able to fund 5 community copies to be accessible by underprivileged people who still want a chance to play Perfect Draw! These will become available alongside the full game on Itch.io. 

I won't say too much more about these stretch goals until they're unlocked, but suffice to say I'm incredibly excited for them!
