Project Update: All's Well that Ends Well

I am happy to report that 50 replacement boards got shipped out today, of both the upper punchboards and of the lower "underboards" that you can use to create you own dual-layer boards with token indents.  I will be removing the incorrectly printed boards from the 50 copies I am in charge of distributing (30 at SDHC and 20 for local pickup and int'l customers, plus a few spares for post-fulfillment sales) and replacing them with these new ones.  Then the boards I remove will go back to Blue Panther in Tennessee to have the correct reverse-side art printed onto them and packaged into sealed copies for fulfillment direct from Tennessee for everyone in the US but not at SDHC or near me in the East Bay.  Blue Panther already has 20 completed/corrected copies ready to go to sum to their 70 unit allotment.

Here are photos of the Orange and Blue players' boards, Punchboard and Underboard front:
Over- and Underboards (front). Once punched out, the holes on the top board line up with the fainter outlines of the underboard to make it easier to figure out where to put your tokens.

And these are the corresponding backs.
Over- and Underboards (back). They are reversed because they've been flipped to the back. But it's the same direction when viewed from behind.

So, if you're attending SDHC you can get your copy on Saturday, November 7.  Unspoken-for copies will also be available for purchase at the SDHC Saturday Night Market.  If you're able to drive to the Tabletop Library in Berkeley, you can expect local pickup the second week in November or thereafter.  If you're anywhere else in the United States, fulfillment should begin in the second half of November (or at worst, early December) once Blue Panther is able to rework the 50 boards I send back to them (adding in the extra shipping time from SDHC back to TN and the second print run).

For international customers, I will be in touch individually once the project funds on October 30 and I set up the Pledge Manager.  As stated in the camapign, I will price out your shipping and confirm with you that you want to pay that much before running your credit cards for the shipping amount.  And if it's too steep a price for you, I'll issue a quick refund.  On behalf of the American people, please let me apologize for my government's hostility towards international commerce.  I assure you that on November 3rd, my vote to restore connections of all sorts to the rest of the world will be counted (as I've already submitted my ballot and gotten confirmation it was received).

As I understand it, once the campaign closes, Backerkit will run your credit cards for the purchase price of the game itself, and I will be setting you all up in the pledge manager to choose local pickup, domestic shipping, or international shipping, and for everyone in the US, the pricing of your choice of delivery method will be presented as a second charge (or $0 for local pickup).  For int'l folks I will need you to give me your shipping info before I can price it, so I'll be in touch.

And finally, I should remind everyone more explicitly that we are now in the last 9 days of the crowdfunding campaign.  Things close at Noon on Friday, October 30.  I've sold 79 of the 120 copies to date, and expect to sell 10-30 more down in San Diego.  So we're not sold out by any means, but the supplies will start to dwindle pretty quickly.  If you know someone who might want to get a copy, please alert/remind them of the looming deadline.

May you all always attack from above and behind, with the sun in your enemy's eyes!
Andy
