Finally! Tina's Magpie wolf and coyote pigeon have arrived and are waiting patiently for me to start opening and packaging them.
This month is crazy for me so fulfillment will be SLOW! I also don't want to hurt myself again so please be forgive me. You've all been so patient and I thank you so much!
Overall Magpie wolf looks awesome. The muzzle is maybe a little fatter and shorter than I'd like, but otherwise he's good!
Coyote Pigeons were stuffed in smaller boxes so I'm having a harder time with them. They need to be shaken and fluffed up again, but they are SO squished it takes about a day for them to come back to normal. This is them after sitting for over 24 hours. Their wings have taken the longest to come back to normal. Yours may have wrinkles in it, but once they get enough oxygen they should bounce back to normal! You can really manipulate the fur around the eyes to change their expression! This plushie below is the same plushie as the one above The biggest thing that bothers me is the paw sculpting. I did NOT know that you'd see the thread on the bottom of the paws. It's on all of them (Magpie too) to varying degrees. My prototypes are not like this :( I will be talking to Tina about it to see what she says. I don't like it at all and I'm so sorry to everyone else that is bothered by it. Another thing is a lot of the noses can be twisted slightly? Which has been nice to fix the crooked noses for me, but I can see it bothering others. And the black around the eyes can also be manipulated on some which is great to fix expressions! But again, some people might be bothered by it for which I apologize. Ears are not perfectly matched on any of them really. My B Grade piles are mostly based on eye placement, how crooked the nose is, holes, and other strange defects.
Anyways, when you get your plush give it a nice shake and a good brushing! These guys have long fur and it kind of gets tucked in the seams and especially around the eyes. I'm going to try and NOT touch them all up before they go out or fulfillment will take me forever. There may be random loose string that just needs cut too and some plastic that can be pulled off from the embroidered paw pads.
These guys really are impressive in person! I will have extras, probably mostly B grade. They will go up on my website after fulfillment is complete. If you have ANY problems with your order once you receive it please reach out to me at [email protected]
Hey everyone! Update on Tina's wolves for those waiting on them.
Tina's Magpie wolf shipped over 2 weeks ago and will probably take another 2-3 weeks to reach me. Here's pics of the mass produced ones before they were packaged!
Tina's coyote pigeon's have JUST shipped, but with a faster shipping method so they should also arrive in 2-3 weeks. The reason they took longer is I had them redo ALL the eyes. The black parts around the eyes were angled too far down so they all looked a little sad/dopey. Here's the before pic
And now they all look more like this one below! I got sent a video to confirm and they look SO much better in my opinion. I feel a little bad because you can't reuse plastic safety eyes (from my understanding once they are put together, they don't come apart without breaking). So that was the delay in them being finished!
Totally worth it in my opinion! I'm very happy with the pics and videos and can't wait to see them in person. I have close to 110 of these larger wolves ordered so give me time to package them when they arrive. There will be extras available to purchase after I complete fulfillment :)
Seven's Magpie wolves should be finished soon! I just reached out and will update this post with what they say. UPDATE, they should be finished by the end of this month
Thank you everyone for being so patient. Waiting really is the hardest part!
*Edit to add* Tina's coyote pigeon and Magpie wolf are SO close to completion. They should ship to me in the next 2 weeks and then it will be another 30+ days till I receive them. Only Seven's Coyote pigeon has arrived. Seven's Magpie wolf is in production. I may poke them for an update, but they only just started production a couple weeks ago.
There's only 11 of you, but I received Seven's coyote pigeons today! They are pretty cute, super soft, and the faces are sweet. Lots of B grades, but plenty of A's. The only problem is their hang tags have not arrived yet! They are supposed to be shipping with my horse pins, but those wont arrive for probably another 2-3 weeks. My question is, do you want your plushie now?? And then I can mail your tag in a letter envelope later? It would only cost me an extra $9.50 so I'm happy to do it to get people their plushies faster :)
And here are pictures! A video is posted to my instagram
I LOVE how big they got the ears. They don't have anything in them to firm them up so they are super flimsy and floppy. They can stand up on their own though! And the only thing I don't love is the embroidered mouth. I like it, but I don't like how it squishes the fur under it? I don't know, it's not lined up as perfectly with the seams as I'd like. I think maybe next time I'll see if they can do the mouths by hand (not embroidered) like how Tina does the fox mouths :) I also feel like the tails are placed on weird, but I'm also just being super picky. He is cute overall! I would buy one, lol.
I really want to put him up on my website when I finish fulfilling preorders, but again, I have no hang tags yet! So extras will be available in roughly 2-3 weeks :)
And thank you everyone for the website orders this week! I feel like I'm in the green finally and it's such a relief <3
Please give me 1-2 weeks to fulfill these orders. Maybe longer if there's a lot of interest. I'm going to go a bit slower to protect my hands this time.
And if you want to order a B Grade, but are scared of what defects it'll have, just message for a small selection of B grades to choose from! This will definitely make fulfillment take longer, but I'm happy to do it. I have A LOT of B Grades. There are no A Grade Blue Jays or Violet Budgies available. I need to save those for the people who haven't finished their survey yet.
Thank you everyone! I'm working steadily on getting my 2nd plush campaign ready and I have a list of things for my manufacturer to watch out for next time during mass production. I want the next series to be even better!
Hey everyone! I just finished packaging the last foxes tonight. They will all go in the mail tomorrow! My hands are dead, lol. Seriously, I can't hold anything without them going numb within seconds.
If you ordered a wolf and fox check your pledge for the notes section. There will be a tracking number there for your foxes. If you can't find it please email me with your name or username/email and I can send you your tracking number that way,
If you think your order may have been missed also feel free to email me! Or if anything is wrong with your order please reach out, I don't bite :)
WOLVES Seven's Coyote Pigeon's should be here by the end of this month or early next month. Seven's Magpie wolf probably a month later.
Tina's wolves are scheduled to be finished by the end of this month! So I expect to receive them in late June/early July and start fulfilling those orders then. EXTRA FOXES I have extras of all the foxes! I have A and B grades of all of them, but very very few A Grades of Blue Jay and Violet Budgie. There were 64 defected violet budgies. Someone kept placing the eyes waaaaaaay up high, centered in the purple, haha. I didn't feel right selling them and didn't want to just throw them away so I decided to donate them. My mom took the time to drive around and offered them to various hospitals and children's services in our area for me and everyone was so excited and grateful <3
To compensate for the lost inventory Tina is sending me 55 extra fox plush they had made of all my designs (only 3 were violet budgie for some reason). And when I place my next large order she will send me 20 more violet budgies. I'm slightly thankful now that violet budgie was the least popular so I don't need them right away!
Blue Jay had a high ratio of B grades and even the A grades in my eye aren't 'perfect'. I wasn't impressed with how the ears were put on. It seems someone kept curving one ear in too much when they sewed them. I pulled aside the worst of the worst (I seriously went through every box Blue Jay to find the best!) I have maybe 5 A grade Blue Jays left and like 70 B Grade. I will be asking Tina to keep her eye out to make sure this doesn't happen again.
As for all the others, there are more A grade than B grade. I will work on listing the extras on my website over the next couple of weeks.
And I can't say it enough, but THANK YOU to everyone. This has been so much work, but with so much reward. And I truly love the people who have taken the time to message me about how much they love their fox. Even the few people who have ended up with defected ones or B grades. You have all been so kind and wonderful! It means the world to me.
Also, here's a pic of the defected violet budgie for those curious! And next to a normal one for comparison.
Blue Jay fox arrived today! I am sorting through them now. There's a good number with super lopsided eyes, but thankfully I ordered a bunch so I can put those aside as B grades for my website!
His eyes show a lot better than the others since the black stripe fur isn't as fluffy a fabric. He is very striking and so soft! My one advice to Tina for my next series will be even less stuffing in the foxes. They are squishy, but I think they could be a lot squishier!
SHIPPING
Shipping has begun! So far all single orders of Red Fox, Oriole, Barn Owl, Violet Budgie, and Magpie fox have shipped. Including if you got a wolf/wolves and only 1 fox! Your fox has shipped and I added tracking to the notes of your order. I think you can see the notes if you check your pledge, but if not and you want tracking email me! [email protected]
I will get all single Blue Jay orders packed tomorrow and out Saturday (if UPS does pick ups on Saturday, not sure. If not they will go out Monday!)
Then I will start working on people who ordered multiple foxes this Monday and through the next week or 2. I'm pretty efficient so I'm optimistic I can get all foxes shipped before the end of May :)
WOLVES
Seven's Coyote Pigeon is shipping soon! They are estimated to arrive in 20-25 days.
I have approved Seven's Magpie Wolf and production has begun
No update on Tina's wolves! They are still being produced. I hope for them to be finished in another 2-3 weeks
Thank you all so much! I seriously think every day about how lucky I am to be able to do this ❤️
I received pics of Blue Jay Fox today! Isn't he cute??! I love the colors and his markings are spot on for what I was hoping for. His tail tip should be black. The only other thing bothering me is his eyes look further apart? But I might just be crazy. My manufacturer is going to take a pic with his fur brushed up out of his eyes so I can see better. My rep also mentioned since his fur texture is different, a bit fluffier, that that might be effecting him too! So we might try another sample with a fur closer to the others. I'm really picky about the color though and this current fabric color is spot on.
And my wolf manufacturer sent me updated Coyote Pigeon pics! She looks a LOT better. Still a mistake on the neck (they know), but they will most likely ship this one to me as is and make a correct sample before bulk production. BUT
Because of the mistakes wolf manufacturer keeps making I have reached out to the manufacturer who does my fox plush. Tina is my rep there and she is incredibly kind and helpful! She has offered to lower her MOQ to 50 for me, but I wont know the price quote yet until she receives the sample I sent her. I mailed her the prototype of Magpie Wolf last week so he should arrive soon. I want his body shape and floppiness to stay the same. I want them to make a better muzzle if possible with a mouth sewn on. I also want seams on his paws. And they might change the tail shape a smidge (it's very 2 dimensional currently). Maybe even trying black tear ducts around the eyes... I also think shorter fur on the ears will be better!
She will have a prototype of Coyote Pigeon made first and I will share pics here as SOON as I get them. It might not happen til after my campaign is over. But the fox manufacturer is a lot quicker than the wolf one and faster to respond to my inquiries! Tina is the best so I have full confidence in her company producing an amazing plush.
Also, side note. I did a preorder of Magpie Wolves on my website awhile back. They finally arrived this week! This was a good test run to determine quality and also to see a bit more about how the manufacturing process works. Overall the fur quality is sublime, great sewing, I haven't found any holes, just a few threads that needed to be trimmed. I'm pretty impressed, however, the ears are not as fantastic as the prototype. They are smaller and a bit more rounded than I like. This is definitely due to the longer fur fabric. I fixed most of them with a comb and by gently brushing the fur up. If for some reason I have to continue with the wolves being made by the wolf manufacturer I would address this issue with them before they make more.
That's all I have for now! Here's pics of the manufactured Magpie wolves I just received! The wings turned out perfect.
You guys are awesome! I can't believe we are funded all the way up to coyote pigeon already! My heart is so full right now ❤️ The next goal is another fox plush and I am letting the community vote on which design should be chosen :)
I narrowed the selection down to 10 designs, mostly blue colored birds for something different. Plus a few that I really really like. Believe me, there are SO many I want to add. Voting ends Wednesday morning!
The next unlockable goal will be a large weighted winged wolf plush. Magpie Wolf will be an option. I originally wanted snowy owl as an option too, but I am not in love with the prototype and will share more details and pics when I receive them. Stay tuned!
Since I have so many followers already I'm really hopeful to get at least 3 designs fully funded! Yay!
Red fox will be the first design followed by Magpie fox. Below is a selection of designs to vote for the 3rd fox! If I can swing it, I'd love the 3rd prototype to be ready before I launch this campaign.
It was not easy narrowing this selection down, believe me! There are so many good ones I want to have made. I went with mostly common birds people would recognize for this round of voting.
Please note Snowy Owl and Coyote Pigeon designs are currently being prototyped on my large 30" weighted wolf style plush. I hope to add them to this campaign if it gets far enough!
All current design mockups are below! My other post was getting messy so it was time to make a new one.
Now keep in mind not all of these designs will be made. I would be ecstatic for at least 3 to be funded! The first 2 will be Red Fox and Magpie. The next will be decided by a community vote!
I'm also always open to suggestions so please comment your favorite bird below!
*UPDATE* Added the ones below August 4th
Added the 3 below August 7th!
*UPDATE* Added more below August 16th
2 more added August 17th!
3 more added August 24th! These 3 are so great, I can't even. With just over 20 days till I launch this campaign I will probably stop drawing designs and focus on prepping my page for launch! Unless there's an absolutely amazing suggestion I just have to draw :)
