Project Update: Stretch Goal Unlocked – New Bonus Adventure Announced!
Hello!
Thanks to your support, we just unlocked another stretch goal – bonus rules for Cultural Rewards will now be added to the Core Rules manual, for both The One Ring and The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5E. Thank you!
Quite a few backers have asked for more adventure material, and we're happy to oblige – we have now added the bonus digital adventure The Shadow Out of Fangorn, written by Francesco Nepitello himself, as a new stretch goal! If we reach this goal, a PDF or full content module of the adventure on the Free League Unbound official digital toolset will be shared with all backers at no additional cost.
(And before you ask – yes, we hope to find a way to print this adventure down the line, but it cannot be included in this campaign as that would lead to a delay of the entire project.)

“There are roots in the deep earth that should never be troubled. Some things below the mountains do not sleep as beasts sleep.”
Such are the tales sometimes told by guests of the Saddled Horse, when fresh ale fills their cups and the common room is crowded. Most are soon forgotten, but recent troubles have given the people of Aldburg cause to recall them. Shepherds have vanished from lonely steadings, and travellers have been found slain near the town’s gates. Those who venture out after nightfall go warily, and few now care to walk alone.
Some blame Orcs straying down from the mountains. Others whisper of a starving draugr wandering beneath the city. No one has yet found tracks that settle the matter, and each telling adds something to the last.
Yet behind closed doors, another suspicion is quietly voiced: whatever stalks Aldburg by night may find shelter within its walls.
