It has come to my attention that some copies of Free Spirit have a technical issue. I wasn't aware of this sooner because I have been employing my oldest two children (teens love to earn their own money!) to card up some of the pins after I look them over and they didn't know that this wasn't intended.
The posts on the back of this pin are VERY close because this is a very small pin for two posts, but I had them produced with two posts because I HATE when my pins with single posts spin...
While they CAN just be a snug fit, it seems that many of them are a BIT too close, resulting in the rubber backing to not sit cleanly, and instead slightly overlap.
If this is a problem for you, I have two different potential suggestions.
The first involves scissors and should only be done with the utmost care and safety. Use the scissors to trim one side of one of the backings. PLEASE take care to not cut your fingers!
The result looks a little goofy, but it just as secure as the regular rubber backs.
An alternative would be to use spring-locking backs (if you own any), as these seem to fit JUST right with no overlapping.
As for me, I think in the future I will either need to make pins slightly bigger, or with a single post if I really want them to be that small.
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Shipping is always a slow and tedious process. I move slowly to try and avoid mistakes. Having said that, we are 1/3 done!
I have been skipping around the orders trying to do a mix of small, medium and big orders so that no ine group gets the short end of the stick, but someone will always be first and someone will be last.
I appreciate your patience and support while I am working through the rest of the orders. There are only a little over 200 to go!
Well, it took a good bit longer than I expected to get the pins for Black Cat RPG series 5 from my production partner, but they have finally arrived and they are BEAUTIFUL!
😍
I am working my way through the orders and shipping the pins out as fast as I can, but I think most of them will be shipped out in August, not July as I had originally estimated.
Also, because I am always looking forward, I wanted to provide a preview of my October Cats project for this year. Instead of Witch Cats, this year I decided to do a series of kitties based on a Tarot deck. I am going to start with the four Minor Arcana, but if it is popular enough I will consider adding designs for some or all of the 22 Major Arcana.
I have finally received tracking numbers from my production partner!
The pins are being shipped to me in three large groups. The first group is actually going to arrive today or tomorrow!
I will need a bit of time to work through all of the inspecting and packing before I can start shipping, but shipping will begin in the next week or two and then continue until everything has been shipped out.
I truly appreciate your support and patience, I can't wait to get these pins into your hands!
I just received word from my production partner that the RPG pins should be finishing up this week and if all goes smoothly with shipping should be to me by the middle of July. I am hoping to have pictures to share next week.
Once I get them in hand I will be inspecting and packing them and should be able to start shipping them out at the end of July if there are no unforeseen issues.
I will be charging cards for shipping and add-ons selected in the pledge manager on July 4th. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Also...
You may have also seen that I am launching another project on July 15. It is quite different than my usual work, but it was truly a labor of love. Feel free to take a look and read the fun backstory for this upcoming project. I am hoping it goes well because when the tariffs dipped for the 90 day period I panic-ordered 100 of each letter before doing any funding for it, so here's hoping I can at least break even! 😅
