You start with four peasants. You'll be lucky to finish with one. A DCC funnel throws a mob of hapless commoners — farmers, gravediggers, goat herders — into a lethal dungeon and lets fate sort them out. Most will die horribly. The survivors earn enough experience to "level up" to 1st level and choose a class, with the trauma of the funnel shaping who they've become. It's part meat grinder, part character origin story, and all fun!

Yes, the 12 funnels in the Book of Funnels are all new adventures! In addition to these 12 brand-new adventures, stretch goals will unlock additional adventures. The bonus stretch goal adventures are reprinted from long out-of-print Goodman Games titles - things such as Free RPG Day adventures, Gen Con Program Guides, and so on.

The 12 adventures in the Book of Funnels are designed "natively" as follows: 8 for DCC, 2 for MCC, 2 for XCC. However, they all use the core DCC rules engine and are generally compatible with the "sister systems." It is easy to adapt them between games.

Yes! The Book of Funnels fulfilled through this crowdfunding will have bonus pages that are exclusive to crowdfunding backers. The bonus pages will contain the additional adventures cleared through stretch goals. Retail buyers will receive the "regular" edition of the book without those bonus pages (but still containing 12 new funnels).

The scratch off sheets are made from "real" scratch-off material, just like on a lottery scratcher. You can use your fingernail or a coin to scrape them off. Underneath are the stats and equipment for a randomized 0-level character. The database of zero-level characters features 25,000 unique sets of stats, so it is extraordinarily unlikely that you'll ever encounter a duplicate.

The MCC Zero-level Scratch-offs contain 10 sheets per pack; DCC and XCC packs will contain 15 scratch-off sheets each. Save more by getting more, with the 5- and 10-packs! Shipping & handling will be charged during the pledge manager phase, after the fundraising campaign is completed. Shipping charges are not included in the basic pledge levels.

In general we will have international-friendly shipping. EU/UK shipments will originate from a UK-based shipping point. AU/NZ/SEA shipments will originate from an AU-based shipping point. CAN shipments will originate from a CAN-based shipping point.

BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.

If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.

Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.

Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.

You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
