Here are a few updates on this project: shipping from the factory; final advance copies; updated map; etc.
Bulk Freight Shipment
Bulk production has completed! We are awaiting an update on the shipment departing from the factory. It should be "any day now." As soon as we get those details we can estimate when you fine backers will receive your packages. It's getting closer!
Photos Of Final Pinball Crawl Classics Boxed Sets
In a previous update, we posted many photos of finished books. However, I'm not sure we ever showed you photos of the finished Pinball Crawl Classics boxed sets. They turned out awesome. Here are a few photos of the advance copies!
Updated PDF for Old-School Adventures #1
We've uploaded a new PDF for Old-School Adventures #1 to the BackerKit pledge manager. This adds one map that was missing. Argh! Sorry about that, folks. You’ll see a new PDF for OSA #1 posted in the pledge manager, entitled OSA #1 Ruins of the Twilight Marches v2. We’ve removed the previous file. If you look at page 144 of the new PDF, you will find the map for Blackened Veins of Starlit Doomwhich has now been added.
To make it up to you, we are including a printed cardstock version of that map with the pledges. The flipside will be a new handout: a player-facing version of the town map, so you'll get some added value out of the page.
Bride of Pinbot - Always the Bridesmaid, Never the Bride
Joe Goodman with a personal pinball anecdote here. In a previous update, I shared my pride at finally getting onto the leaderboard of the local Bride of Pinbot machine. I was promptly vanquished from the board by Big Ethan, my local nemesis. He's very good, and also a nice guy who taught me some new moves.
Anyway, I recently played the game of my life on Bride of Pinbot. I'm sure you've all had this experience - everything was going right, I got the free ball, hit the jackpot, was hitting all my shots. I got the full metamorphosis and then managed to land the two balls to activate the big wheel! It landed on 50 million and holy guacamole, I wound up with 61.4 million points - my best game by a landslide.
I proudly put in my initials, expecting to be #1 on the machine.
Turns out Big Ethan recently got 62.0 million. So my all-time high is just inches away and sticks me back at #2!!!
Argh!!! So close yet so far.
I just need one more perfect game...
JEG is me. Still #2!! So close yet so far!
Next Monday: Old-School From The Start!
Stu Horvath has spent the last year conducting 80+ hours of interviews to write the complete book of Goodman Games history. Meanwhile, we've been assembling 25 years of incredible paintings and drawings for The Fantastic Art of Goodman Games. Join us in celebrating these milestones with our next crowdfunding effort. Old-School From The Start launches next Monday. Follow the project now to learn more!
