As a SotM fan only recently catching up on The Letter's Page, it's been an interesting perspective listening to episodes that built up to this campaign. I've only just finished the Disparation related episodes for Inversiverse Captain Cosmic and the Vampire World/Frostbite today as of posting! Wind-Walker looks awesome, I can't wait to discover the episode(s) about her. These variants that use special keywords alongside Hero are on point for blending the story and mechanics of the decks super well. Freedom Six Bunker is a lot more interesting and F.A. KNYFE & Omnitron-X are pretty much what I expected...Omnitron & Omnitron-X both enter the fray, only one survives the encounter. Omnitron-X variant that references him being the key grip holding the mic on The Letter's Page promo when? A minor disappointment is seeing that the "alternate universe" variants all use the same portal background? I'm sure their incapacitated side will show more of their world/story but it would have been great to see more of that in the artwork. Those aren't mist portals by any means but knowing that some variants were AU versions of the character is kinda of given with the core concept of the IP? And the Freedom 6 are also from another universe. It reminds me too much of the OblivAeon mission Heroes that had the very out there concepts, although maybe that's the point. Regardless, the Hero character cards have been my favorite thing of DE. F.A. tied to actual comic book covers, Teams of Heroes that have shared motifs, greatly enhanced art or unexpected new versions. It's been great all around.
