Our project Dusthollow RPG launched two week ago. We are about 20% funded and will need to get more support if we are going to hit our goal. Please don't wait until the last minute; head to BackerKit and pledge this weekend!
For those who have been following Dusthollow, your pledges are critical to making it a worthy RPG tome. We're leaning into the classic AD&D book style of pen & ink drawings for the QSG and Rulebook. I do not want to (won't) produce the books without illustrations (or using AI).
Meanwhile we are working on the Iron Horse Heist Quick Start Guide adventure and have finalized the Maps and illustration scenes for the Zine/Module. If all goes well this will be ready to send in October.

Below find another teaser of the Iron Horse Heist... and the introduction of the second Player Character, The Dutchman. Enjoy!
The Iron Horse Heist is a one-shot adventure where the Players are a crew put together by Rafe Calder, a former bounty hunter turned outlaw. Rafe has been hired by a mysterious patron to rob the "Iron Horse Special" - a heavily guarded train traveling through the mountains carrying $50,000 in gold and something else...

Now to the story.....
Alois Schmidt felt a wave of sickness as the train lurched forward and began to roll out of the station at Kendall. His nausea wasn’t just because he was starting the biggest and most dangerous job of his life. It was also because the car reeked of beer and body odor, most of it coming from the group of German miners who had decided to occupy not only the seat next to him, but those to his front and back. Sächsische Bergleute, Alois surmised, by the sound of their accents. Saxon miners, probably from a village in the Erzgebirge. That’s where they, and their fathers, and their fathers’ fathers all the way back to their primitive tribal ancestors learned how to dig shiny rocks out of the ground. Now some rich American had lured them over the great ocean, into these vast mountains, to dig new holes.
Stay tuned as we meet the other half of the crew.....
Dusthollow RPG launched today on BackerKit.
To celebrate we’ll be sharing a series of teaser emails to get you in the mood for some classic western adventure from the Quick Start Guide.
The Train Job
Stay tuned for Episode #2
Rafe Calder stood, uneasily, on the narrow outcropping and looked toward the distant mountains on the other side of the valley. It was a fine day. The summer sun was bright in the cloudless sky, and yet he could still feel an afternoon chill through his heavy lambswool duster. The river was so far below him the sound of its fast-moving waters cutting through the rocks was just a distant roar. No surviving that fall. He stepped back from the precipice. Gonna have to be extra careful when the time came. He looked at Joe, who had just joined him on the ledge, rolled his eyes, and let out a low whistle.
Directly below them were the tracks that guided cars on the Cunningham Mills—Kendall line, a twice-a-week train that ferried passengers between two of the most remote settlements in the Rockies. That there was a train running here at all seemed impossible. Workers had dynamited into the cliff to create enough room to lay tracks. This made the train in some places seem like a vine on a tree trunk, latched to the bare, granite wall by invisible tendrils.
Monday we'll submit the page for final review and Lord willing we'll be approved to go live.
So I'm going to forecast Tuesday for the official launch... I know you all are thinking "Gregalaus, you keep giving us dates and then they change.." Yes! And I apologize. No one wants this to go live more than me!
In other news, I had a great meeting with a well-known artist Friday and he's signed on to work on the project so you'll begin to see his artwork appear on the Dusthollow pages in FB, Instagram, and BackerKit. I'm very excited to have him on board.
Once again, thank you for hanging in there!
