A quick update for everyone who ordered the book through BackerKit: international shipping is still on the way. Thanks for bearing with us while your books make their way to you.
Your download code should have arrived by email by now. If you haven’t received one, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll help you get it sorted.
Thank you for bringing Gudnak Means War to life. Your support helped make these stories possible, and we have a little something for your next adventure: a free copy of the complete audiobook.
Narrated by Eric Michael Summerer, this edition includes all seven stories—more than eight hours beneath Gudnak’s dying sun. Backers can find their free download code and instructions below.
Thanks for being part of this world with us. —The Chaotic Great Games team
The art spreads never made it into the book. That was an error on our part, and we’re sorry. To help make up for it, we added an art print to every order.
We hope you enjoy them - even though we signed some of them and presumably lowered their value in the process.
Audiobook codes
We’re still working to convince Amazon that we are, in fact, a business. As soon as we get through their verification process, we’ll have audiobook codes for everyone. We’ll keep you updated as we make progress.
Thanks for your patience and for supporting the book!
After a LONG wait, our books have finally landed here at the warehouse!
LOOK AT THEM!!!
BEAUTIFUL
These are dying to get into your hands, so look out for a backer survey today or tomorrow which will ask for your address so that we can send a book to it!
First things first - we owe you an apology. It's been way too quiet on our end, and you've been patient with us. That's not lost on us. Thank you.
Here's where things actually stand:
The book is done. Layout is complete and the Gudnak Means War Anthology is headed to print this week. 256 pages of original Gudnak fiction, gold foil hardcover and stories from an absolutely unhinged roster of writers including Jerry Holkins, Jennifer Brozek, Ed Greenwood, and the rest of the crew. It's real. It's beautiful. It's going to print!
We also tried a new card printer. While we were deep in production, we took the opportunity to run our Gudnak cards through a new manufacturer - and honestly, we weren't expecting to be this happy about it. The quality is CRISP. Colors are richer, the card stock feels great in hand, and the finish is exactly what we wanted. We're attaching a photo so you can see for yourself.
They're so…BEAUTIFUL
We're fulfilling this one ourselves. We opened a warehouse, built real warehouse shelves and have it stocked with boxes awaiting those beautiful books.
The Audiobook recording is finished! This one genuinely came out incredible. Eric Summerer — yes, that Eric Summerer — recorded the full audiobook, and it is something else. If you've heard him work before, you already know. If you haven't, you're about to. The recording is complete and the audiobook will be available for download soon. We'll send a separate update the moment it's live with instructions on how to access it.
We know the wait has been longer than any of us wanted. The good news is that the finish line is right in front of us. We'll have more updates on fulfillment timeline once we have the print proof in hand.
Thank you for backing this project and for believing in the world of Gudnak. It means everything.
