Hello everyone!

Holy moly, apologies for the big space between communications, we have been VERY hard at work with Young Gods. Game progress is very good, and thus below is a breakdown of everything:

So far, the game is ~87% complete. If you want a quick breakdown, below is the per-chapter readiness:

Chapter 1 - 100%, EDITED
Chapter 2 - 100%, EDITED
Chapter 3 - 100%, being reviewed by our editor.
Chapter 4 - 100%, being reviewed by our editor.
Chapter 5 - 100%, being reviewed by our editor.
Chapter 6 - 90%, waiting for Deus Backer art.
Chapter 7 - 70%, waiting for Realm and Monster art.
Chapter 8 - 85%, waiting for art.
Appendix 1 - 70%, waiting for Deus Backer art.
Appendix 2 (Usurped Edition) - 50%, collecting fan art.

As you can see, we are inching EVER CLOSER to getting everything done. As such, attached in the Backer's Only section of this update is v0.8 of Young Gods, which is PAGE COMPLETE. The final page count for the game will be 376 pages for the Standard Edition!

So, what's next? Our plans are as follows:
- Collect the rest of the art for the game and slot it in.
- Get our editor's ass in gear and get those chapters edited/reviewed.
- Confirm everything with the printer (since the Usurped Edition will be ~8 pages longer).

Two major announcements on our end:

FAN ART PAGES:
For the last 4 pages of the Usurped Edition, we want to open the floor to submissions of fan art that we will be putting into the finished product! These can be art pieces of gods, monsters, realms, Usurpers, or whatever else you want to capture! These art pieces must either be done by you, OR if done by another artist you must have written permission from them which allows the piece to be included in a commercial product. We will do our best to fit everything in, but it will be first come, first served. Please send any submission for fan art to [email protected] with the subject header: "YOUNG GODS FAN ART SUBMISSION". Deadline: January 1st.

v0.9 Lookthrough:
We want to ensure the game is as good as we can make it, so once v0.9 is ready (which is basically the game at 99%), we will be uploading the PDF for all Backers to read, review, and submit changes, edits, or ask clarifications which we and our editor(s) can miss. This is to ensure we don't get caught in a bad spot with "Hey look an obvious spelling mistake", because that happens all too often. We will inform everyone when this happens.

Otherwise, we are on track to get the game printed by March 31st 2027 at the latest, and then distributed to you by Q3 of 2027. Is that in a while? Yes. Could it happen earlier? Yes, but we don't want to make any promises. We would rather under-promise and over-deliver, and with us clearing our fulfilment backlog this year, we are hoping that can be the case.

Hello everyone!

I have some awesome news: the dice have been produced, and I have received a small shipment while the rest goes to our distributor's warehouse for futurefulfilment . And holy shit, they look GOOD.

We didn't want to say anything until we got them fully done, but now I can safely say that our dice stretch goal is made!

Now, on to the game. v0.8 will be dropping on itch, DTRPG, and of course here sometime in late August or September. The reason is that we are wanting to wait for some more art to come in before we push it out the digital door. There are some big quality of life improvements, balances, and clarifications throughout, as well as the fact that some of our Deus backers are getting their custom gods made up and put into the game!

As well, we do have one more surprise for everyone...long story short, WE ARE PRINTING NARRATOR SCREENS. Our printer gave us an amazing deal, and so we are able to print screens for everyone, with Mister69M doing the huge 33 x 8.5 artpiece on the front! While we didn't reach the stretch goal, we are planning to offer it as an add-on for a significantly discounted price for everyone who either pre-orders or has already backed the game.

Hello everyone!

Our last poll was a CLOSE one, wither both Izha AND Sif winning in the end with an even 33 votes! Well, jeez, alright, I'll talk to Mister69M about getting BOTH of them into that image. He's pretty damn good, so I think it's entirely doable!

Now, in other news: work on v0.7 is coming along. We have a TON of updates for it: rules adjustments and calrification, new or updated art, and of course we are beginning to populate with Deus-tier backer deities! It will be ready in about 1-2 weeks, after which it will be released in an update in the Backers Only section AND on itch.io and DTRPG.
